I'll take this over a street racing story in a heart beteat, as much as I like Joe.!
When Andrew does a test, it's an attempt @ science. When some other's do, it is because their ttrained monkey couldn't figure out BUBBA"S GENUINE MAAAAAF!; to go with it that was a KNOWN total guess by the third hand supplier; to match the misinformed goals of the original user. Confused?
Well you damned sure well should be, because that is how any QUALITY vendor of software, around here, should.
Anyway, Andrew test's his stuff. He gives data. He NEVER suffers fools; and his reintroduction, in my opinion, is great for this board.
Perhaps we will begin to lose those who think AMSOIL is DA BOMB 'cause their tech monkey said so...cause their tech GURU ????said so.....

I'm a big fan of having a NO B.S. Sheep Banger! back on this board!
You may not like what NZ says, but I challenge you to test and dispute it. He WILL...
No offense to you Tom. I have depest respect for you sir; but this board has suffered for the loss of Andrew's technical challenges.
YMMV.

I prefer Sheep Lover to Banger... they have feelings to you know
I almost want to get another 951 to get up this ladder again! haha hmmmmmm *browses ads on suction site*
One thing for sure is I would approach the build very differently.

Well, its no big secret or anything new, just different from how I did it... I did too many bolt ons to increase VE, not enough on the head, only angle cutting valves and a mild port job. If I was to do it again I think I could get very good results off major head work with bigger valves and a bigger plenum volume with much shorter runners and a garrett GT series turbo (probably GT35 something), run mid 20's boost (obviously given right ECU and IC etc), and will have a motor that will make 400WHP+ all day long for really not a massive amount of money.
The inconvience of a new intake manifold and consequently restricting bigger turbos was too great at the time since I would only make one myself or rather design it and make it with mates etc. That and the "hassle" of head work meant not a lot got done. Well, I know better now

Yeah I am tempted to do a 968 turbo 16v actually. The 16v head is hard to compete with. Such a good base to start from, already 3.0, twin cam, 16v... Another option would be a 928 V8 motor in it with a couple of turbos... hmmmmm i dunno! I like the idea of a 924 GT replica track car too... argh!
