Is higher boost really safe?

Don't know what you are using for engine management, but if you can store a 15 psi map for daily use and a 20 or so psi for the ZO6/ M3 whipping.
With the right engine management and tuning, you can run higher boost without worry, other than the normal risks that come with massive horsepower

Well - 18 psi and my pump map was more than enough to completely destroy a brand new 997 Carrera S just now out on 84. To top it off, I believe Spencer *** was in the passenger seat and they got off at the airport.
He had more top end than bottom end - the RS6 was faster out of the hole, but this thing had more on top. Didn't matter, I passed him so fast, I don't think he saw me return his wave.
