Yep.

Lart, now that you have posted pics, this is now officially a "real" thread.

Cannot be easily done with the original hood using a LT1-V8, but IS possible with LS1. I will post some pics of my LT1 car when I get home today. It hasn't broken down yet.

It's rude to poke fun at others when they're not around to defend themselves!! Nor is accurate to speculate on the size of someones package based on the car.

JPR, that engine looks like it belongs in there!! . . . but where is the blower?

Lart and ehall-

Altough all of your posts make me laugh, it is not fair to JPR, who started this thread. Let's get back on topic.

JPR, your project is coming along nicely. What happens to the brake booster?
I emailed you regarding the chips, you should be receiving something in the mail.

Can you install and remove the oil pan without dropping the cross member? Looks like the last plug on each side would be fun to get to as well....although I've seen worse. Pretty clean setup.

JPR,
Thanks for the update! Looks good . I also want to see what kind of room you have w/ the headers on. Just wondering if there is any room to squeeze a couple of turbos in there.

test fitted the headers on the engine today and the fit very well. Mike at German Performance had them built with the engine bay in mind and they came out great. They are fabricating V-band clamps to hook up to the Y that will fit on the existing Lindsay Cat-back.

Jpr

P.S. Please, no more turbos...........

Great looking job. I agree that motor looks like it belongs in there!

German Performance is that off I95 in Hollywood, FL?

[QUOTE=Jolly] It's rude to poke fun at others when they're not around to defend themselves!! [QUOTE]

Dude, you are so right. Now go read that thread on 560.com, and come back and tell us that DDD isn't doing the same. In fact worse! by banning everyone who's opinion differs from his, he has become a bigot. He's most welcome here to put his pointacross in a mature way (which he has failed miserably to do before now). I doubt though that he is able.

And until that point, unfortunately for guys like JPR who genuinely seem interested in sharing, DDD will only continue to prejudice us against the moronic element which seems prevelant from the hybrid crowd who have graced us with their childishness.

the oil pan on the ls1 is a one piece affair, you do have to lower the crossmember to remove it but you can inspect the clutch assembly by just removing the cover plate from underneath. This is how the connection between the driveshaft and the corvette bellhousing looks:
