How much? Looks like a BIG Garrett of some sort - possibly for a big rig or something.

That is a TO4E with what I think is a KKK replica
hot housing. The compresssor looks like one of
the 50 trim series. Could be 46,50,57 or 60 trim.

Bingo... You win.. I am putting this in my project car. I know I won't spool up til around 3300 rpm or so but I won't run out until well after redline. Or so I think anyway. It is a 60 trim.

Ok this looks like the purfect thread to launch my investigation in...(yes I know there is loads of threads giving turbo details but not what I want!)

I'm going to be using a T04B on my car and I want to know how it compares to other turbos?

Firstly whats the difference between t04B and E? I thought it was the 8#(B) hotside rather than 10#(E) but I know I'm wrong so now confused!! Is it the size of the housing that changes?

Secondly I was watching a rice meetup at the drag strip at the weekend and one crazy car caught my interest it was a white Skyline wiggling and flaming all the way across the line! Naturally I went and found him for a chat and noticed a HUGE turbo! I asked him what it was and he said T70. He asked what turbo I ran and when I said T04B he said thats nearly as big!! Really?? I thought I was going for a quick spooling turbo!

Are Skylines available in left hand drive ?
The 4B is smaller than the 4E in terms
of size of the compressor cover. In terms
of model range the E is a newer model.
In terms of compressor wheel there are
specific trims for the B & E but given the
fact that mix & match approach is very
popular, you can actually machine & fit
different types of compressor wheel.

Does running a small hot housing equates
to a drop in boost before redline ? I don't think
so. It all boils down to mixing & matching.

Cheers for the info on the turbo. I live in the UK so not sure on left hand drive Skylines. Skylines are reputably not as quick as 944 turbo's anyway so no need to panic. The Skyline has power delivery all at 5000rpm onwards with bugger all torque! I know a guy with a Skyline running 980hp (at the flywheel) and less than 300ft/lb of torque! (yes his car revs to about 11,500rpm!) at the drag strip against a good driver you don't stand a chance but put in the real world, driving on the road the massive low end torque of the 951 just leaves them. I'v seen them struggling to pickup then wham! Massive power for about 3seconds with no traction and they have to change up!!

That's the problem with running huge
turbo Divine. Pointless to have huge
power when it's being made so late.
It's a pig of a car to drive. Well, what
I know, I'm not a ricer.

For a moment you made Hosrum a happy man.
You would have to mod the down pipe flange as
the T3 uses a 5 bolt pattern flange. The other
option is to go for a KKK #8 hot housing which
will make it a direct drop in.

I've got a somewhat similar setup with a t04b/8s and with my setup spoolup starts around 2800rpm and by 3k it's nearly full boost. Below 2500 it's an n/a but that's not a bad thing. Not to mention that 2nd gear WOT at 3k = big wheelspin.

The sound is something else. That turbo sounds like a jet taking off, and off-throttle the bov sounds like a pressure cooker. Very cool.
