Thanks, I will definately look into that. From my data logs the MAF output wasn't reaching anywhere near max voltage, not that that doesn't mean it wasn't out of it's calibration limits.

I made that reference and corrected myself. That goes back to when Lindsey was selling the Kokeln products and it was Kokeln that advertised the 363hp kit. The problem was with the advertising claiming 363hp but figure was only possible with the use of an optional cam not included in the kit.

I noticed that Lindsey no longer has the Kokeln stuff on their website so I retracted that criticism. I have no knowledge of the current LR 340 kit.

Take for example the Kokeln 363 kit. You were selling the kit.
Now if the customer buys this kit from you which was also
advertise in your website & after installation & tuning it does
not make the power as advertise, are you going to tell the
customer that those power claims are Kokeln's & not Lindseys ?
So would that mean that you as a vendor makes the profit &
not be held for any kind of responsibility ? My point is as long
as you're selling other manufacturers products, your company
should makesure that products sold can perform as advertised
& if & when it does not, you should try & resort to help the customer
out & not like me, be told to contact the manufacturer directly for
asistance. Please do not take this any further. You, me, all of us are
comsumers. If any of us is caught in a position like this, I'm sure
none would feel comfortable.

One thing i have a question about is timing. From what i understand vitesse's piggy back controls timing, does lindsey's kit have something for adjusting timing?

First of all, neither Lindsey Racing nor Vitesse Racing have "their piggybacks", one uses two fuel controllers (mafterburner, power perfect) and the other uses the SMT6, it is not theirs, they have been in the market for quite some time.

With that out of the way, timing is not something an average person would like to adjust. Heck, neither does 90% of rennlisters know just exactly how does timing get effected, adjusting, etc. And those that know a thing or two about timing, just "show off" or "keep it hidden" for some reason.

Even vitesse does NOT recommend touching the timing at all, kit or no kit, he has his chips that take car of that (as well of a whole bunch of other things).

Contact both vendors, ask them as many questions as you feel like (you're money, their product, get what you are looking/asking for) and you chose who to go to.

Just to add my perspective on this. It seems although I have no proof that the addition of a piggy back system to any cars setup can be used to make the turbo spool at lower RPM. I found a guy on one forum who's turbo wouldn't come on boost till 4000rpm plus in a 2.8 bore motor. Later though with some fine tuning of the engine management he achived good positive boost at under 3000rpm. I think the Lindsey kit uses good parts and is a good product but they seem a bit backward with the engine management side. Change that and well... you have a damn lethal 944!!

That looks VERY appealing. NZ - you're in that general part of the world, do you know anything about AEM or their products?

They claim to have been making engine management equipment for 10 years... looks like they've mostly focused on the rice market till now. Their website is pretty, but less than informative. There are no specifics or lists of supported car models that I can find. They also don't list a phone number on their website...

I have the lindsey Stage 2 maf, there 3" exhaust and I have talked to them several times great customer service. I know this a bit off topic but just wanted to say great guys. I have heard the same about vitesse. So as previously mentioned call both and good luck.
