Owning a 951...
I just realized I've spent about 2/3 of the purchase price (9,000) on my car in maintainance and mods, and have only gotten 3,000 miles out of it since aug of 03.... Damn thats dedication... No, thats 951 ownership.... oh, she just broke again. It's ok, I'll have it sorted out soon.

Actuaully, I do love the car and hope it becomes trackable soon.

That's one reason why I haven't modified my 951. Once you take that path, the collateral damage/investment grows very quickly.
It turns your $12K car into a $20K investment that is only worth $6K. Fun, but costly.

There is no doubt that 951s can be expensive to maintain, but when you look at the performance versus the cost over time, they are still way cheaper than a new car with similar performance. If you buy even a used C5 Z06, you are going to pay $500+ per month in car payments. If you average up your purchase price and maintenance cost for a 951 over a 5 year period, I'd bet that you actually end up paying substantially less than that, and that doesn't include repair costs on the Z06 after it's warranty expires (if it hasn't already).

Why you want to sell it now? Hehe. J/K I wouldn't buy another 951. My next is going to be some sort of cabriolet, either an S2, 968 or 911. I don't dislike the 951, I just don't know why I'd ever need two. One's enough of a PITA to work on.
