Going to leave it hooked up until we decide what to do with the coolant out of the head at the back. Hey Russ, you need any engraved tags for gauges? They're also scribbed so all you have to do is bend them and they break apart. We have an engraver here at work.

Hmmm, good question. The 87's are a bit heavier than the 86 but the price for this car was too good to pass up. We are hoping for 2800 with 1/2 tank and driver but I suspect a bit heavier. We'll weigh it when the roll bar and seats are in, driver and passenger glass/window regulators out and report back. The Kinesis wheels 17 x 8.5 & 10, with 245/45 and 275/40 weighed in 6.5 lbs lighter than the phone dials with tires. The track tires are Yokahoma's and I hear they are heavier than Hoosier's.

the 87 is only heavier because of things you are removing, ABS (maybe you're not removing that), airbags, etc. afaik. I think that's a pretty reasonable goal.

yeah,,,who knows but like I said, we will report back. The car didn't have ABS but the air bags are gone. So the interior will be dash, two Sparco seats, Autopower roll bar, MOMO wheel.

Headlight assy, washer bottle, all cruise, blower/evaporator/AC lines, door glass/assy, windshield wipers and all wiring for the items listed is gone.

3" s.s. exhaust to be used, fiberglass nose panel and front splitter. Koni coil overs all around after we get the Koni struts repaired that we bought, 750/600# springs(Jim and Jason are handling that), M030 sway bars.

All the parts are gone, mail out the last ones Monday. For everyone that got parts from both cars, thank you and I hope you got what you wanted at a fair price.

Target track debut is August/September.

yeah thanks for a great price Don! Jim got it sprayed yesterday and this morning he should be getting glue out of the interior. I'm headed down there next month for a full week of work. I may slip down there for a few days in the next couple of weeks but we'll have to see.

Well from the way things are progressing, I'm thinking Jim should stand around and drink beer while he watches you work for a week.

Great progress. Most cars take months to get to this point.

I know, I know, I feel bad. He's having the damn time of his life down there tearing that thing apart while I'm offshore watching all the pictures and selling parts on rennlist and ebay...and buying parts, like the roll bar and seats. Jim and Jason set up the final supsension parts yesterday at Paragons shop, which is just down the street from Jim's business.

I have to buy the vented nose panel and the splitter Monday or Tuesday.

Here is a "this morning" shot of the door(s) now that the glass and regulator assy is out.

Well, I have to admit, rounding up parts and so on is time consuming.

And it is Fun to rip things apart..

So are you going to trim the fat on the door or leave it in place.
I was thinking of doing this to my spare set of doors.
