Thanks fast924s. Who built your turbo. I'm guessing but is it ? https://www.turbokits.com/
They offer two kkk replicas. One #8 and one #10. There is no way you have a 14.

Lol. You don't have to answer.. Been there and done it. As long as your happy is all that counts. happy motoring!
Btw: I was serious before when I stated a cam is worth it's weight in gold. You can make the same hp @ 1 bar as you are at 20psi.
JME cams are better than turbos. Not kidding one bit.

Its definetly a #14 K26 style hotside. Its made by E-man930 in partnership with a Really good turbo shop, End sizing is based on build and user preferences. HE has the voodoo series and ultra spool series turbos right now. Here are some pics. Mine uses a replica holset cover as that specific holset cover supplies are exhausted.

Wow! Thats impressive. You also used a custom down pipe. Tim made that for you?
I'm still a bit confused. That looks like a kkk replica hot side housing.
Edit: I think I see what you did. You are using a full 3' down pipe mated with a kkk replica housing. whats the a/r 63 or 82ar?

The turbos come as a kit, Oil lines, gaskets, Turbo mount and Downpipe, All 100% bolt on ready to go. Fits like a glove. Also I need to correct myself, the hot housing is not a KKK replica but a new .82AR modern #14 hot housing with K26 style flanges.

JME makes some awesome camshafts. That's my next move, should be worth 40+ hp with the big turbo. There is actually a better one made by RS Barn, Similar specs, coated, and slightly cheaper. You should check out the Premier 944 Turbo page on Facebook. Lots of new exciting stuff going on, and some real trick products. Not your normal Lindsey Racing stuff.

This is where your wrong. Great set up but a .82 ar is equivalent to a kkk 10. Its a replica of the original #10. No different.
As I stated before. The housing isn't where the magic happens. Its just the shell for whats inside. Sure some boost characteristics change. Suprised that a #10 can spool up that quickly, but its more a reflection of the wheels than the housing.
I must say though, that you did a great job and it looks fantastic. Hope to see ot one day. Enjoy.

I helicoiled both and pulled them again before dropping boost back to 18psi. It's been fine (sans the balance shaft leaks) ever since.

25psi is too much. A better profile for the turbo for faster response is my new project (along with a complete rebuild of a new bottom end)
I know a few people running 30psi without head stud issues. We're working to break the 30 barrier with 3L blocks.

Except its a 14cm^2 not a 10cm^2 you can see the difference in the pics, A/R and the volume measurement at the end of the scroll are two separate things entirely... so not at all like a KKK #10. We will definitely have to meet up and check out the cars

Use to be about three manufacturers casted the kkk replica housings. Now we are probably down to one and thats where vendors like LR and the like. Source there turbos.
The volume as you say changes based on the turbine used. So a housing is honened out to accept a certain wheel. Some vendors like Precision turbo have casted turbines housings for there turbos. No custom work is necessary in that case because weather one uses a t4, t3, or vband. The wheel will fit. So its fitting a kkk replica will also fit.
Exhaust manufacturers will always try to push you in there direction by pushing you into different housings in order to sell expensive exhaust parts. Its the nature of the business. The truth of the matter is that the internals are the same. It semantics at its best.

Boy can you ever lead a horse to water.....

He literally posted a handful of pictures showing housings machined to accept modern wheels....with the wheels peeking out.
He literally posted a handful of pictures of new castings adjacent to the old ones ( which you clearly knew a lot about).
He literally posted charts showing you exactly how they performed on a 2.5....

Next thing you'll be saying that "the wheels smell like the old hybrids.... definitely identical turbos..."
