Use to be about three manufacturers casted the kkk replica housings. Now we are probably down to one and thats where vendors like LR and the like. Source there turbos.
The volume as you say changes based on the turbine used. So a housing is honened out to accept a certain wheel. Some vendors like Precision turbo have casted turbines housings for there turbos. No custom work is necessary in that case because weather one uses a t4, t3, or vband. The wheel will fit. So its fitting a kkk replica will also fit.
Exhaust manufacturers will always try to push you in there direction by pushing you into different housings in order to sell expensive exhaust parts. Its the nature of the business. The truth of the matter is that the internals are the same. It semantics at its best.

They are a completely new modern casting using a .82AR scroll with translates to about a 14cm^2 when using the same measuring style the Germans originally did in the 70s and 80s. It has 100% nothing in common with a KKK or replica KKK hosing other than the bolt pattern for the inlet flange and exhaust flange. That’s it
Its a kkk replica of the 8 and 10. I had the same housing on my gt35r ten years ago.

I never claimed to have made a turbo, but have purchased enough to inform a community based on my pryer knowledge and this sharing of information is what forums are about.

This isn't true. Here is the direct link to the housing. the only reason they still exist is because Audi uses the same housing as the 944 turbo.

These are are not the same. These aren’t replicas, all the information has been poste, you can see it in the pics and the data I provided... here is my Turbos casting (first pic) below is the casting of the turbo you listed about... not the same, not even close
Voodoo casting 14cm^2
Other casting “Garrett” smaller

Right and when you post incorrect info and make stuff up as you go along it hurts the community.
Here is the failure of a “K26” casting from Garrett you said with 100% certainty is used in the turbo being discussed by the OP.
Here is the actual casting used on the turbo...

Yet even earlier you said it was 100% identical to a #10 clone hot housing because the AR was listed to be .82... even though that has nothing to do with anything that correlates to factual scroll comparison data nor conveys any sort of understanding or comprehension on how turbo scroll widths and ratios are measured. Below is a pic of the OP’s turbo hot housing next to a genuine Turbonetics #10 replica hot housing. Help me understand what you are seeing? (I mean can’t see)

Ok. Ill admit that those aren't 10s. They are larger. I just did some calculations. Still not a 14cm. Plus that housing clearly states. 82 ar right on it.
6 cm2 = 0.41 A/R
7 cm2 = 0.49 A/R
8 cm2 = 0.57 A/R
9 cm2 = 0.65 A/R
10 cm2 = 0.73 A/R
11 cm2 = 0.81 A/R
12 cm2 = 0.89 A/R
6 cm2 = 0.41 A/R
7 cm2 = 0.49 A/R
8 cm2 = 0.57 A/R
9 cm2 = 0.65 A/R
10 cm2 = 0.73 A/R
11 cm2 = 0.81 A/R
12 cm2 = 0.89 A/R

Btw: the casting on the right looks more like an 8 and not a ten. So post up the part number so we can compare.
Still really doesn't matter because turbonetics doesn't cast kkk housings any more. There is only one guy out of Wisconsin that still does it. I can bet thats where it came from.

Turbonetics used a real #8 KKK hot housing when they made the molds for theirs 8cm^2 and 10cm^2 replica hot housings. Guess what they didn’t bother to change between the casting patterns? That’s right the outside dimensions... So please help me understand how that replica casting “on the right looks more like an 8 and not a ten.” Please I’d love to hear your EXPERT opinion here.
