Default Oilpump gear removal

Hi 951 buddies
I'm replacing belts and rollers on my 951. I decided to reseal the front side of the engine.
There are two issues:
  1. Crankshaft: Oilpump gear is stuck and is not moveable
  2. from 2 balance shaft housing one (the upper) is not moveable
Did any one ever have problems with getting out one of the two or both?

Any recomandations?
kind regards

They are both "glued" on with loctite 574. Try a little heat.

When I recently did the seals on the front of my engine, the gear was very hard to remove. I could move it a bit but then it would hang up on the shaft. I ended up using some 2000 grit wet sandpaper on the crank, took quite a bit of work to get the surface finish correct to get the gear off.

For the balance shaft housing, you might try hitting it with a rubber mallet on the sides, i.e. top, left, bottom, right and it should break free. A few pictures of the work I did here:

Best of luck to our Swiss friends!

Be very careful not to scratch the shaft. That is where the front seal makes contact and a scratch, even a small one will cause oil to leak from the seal.

****, one time I had to cut the oil pump off the crank because the inner drive gear was so stuck...

but more often they just slide out.

I wonder if antisieze between the gear and the crank snout would help and not hinder?
