According to the Innovate manual, it said any of the narrowband ones would also work hooking it up to the narrowband output as well....might be helpful if you have a narrowband now as this would be a more accurate reading to that device.

I have to say this is a very tempting buy Just got to make sure that I have some funds for it....doing some freelancing for goodies just isn't as easy as I wish it was!

I'm leaning over to the innovative. but need to know if i can get a USB cable instead of the serial. my laptop does not have serial connection.

I'm not sure if they make one, I use a USB-serial converter cable, like $15 at any computer store or Newegg.com

turbo944, that's what I mean, you can drive any narrowband gauge with the 0-1v output and have that displaying realtime, just a little more work and cost. I'm not trying to dissuade people from the LM-1, I'd like more buyers on it so I get my price and the word gets out about it, but frankly, for an install and forget monitoring use, the PLX is easier. For a tuning tool, the Innovate is far superior, and at basically the same price, my choice is a no-brainer.

Sam, You may not know the answer but if a person had a piggyback, lke the SMT6, would the PLX intergrate with it allowing datalogging etc.

This group buy thing I started, "spend money to save money", is going to bankrupt me

Id like to hear from John @ Vitesse on the ways around getting a SMT6 to log wideband outputs. I realize it will log a "simulated narrowband" output which would essentially be wideband but on a scale of 0-1v rather the fine resolution of wideband 0-5v. Correct?

Basically Im in on the PLX because I think IT will work with the SMT6 and I want realtime viewing mounted in car. Arrggg I still need to order Joakims lenses ASAP to finish off operation wrecked car in storage though....

Double Arrrggggg here. I believe (hope) the PLX will work with the SMT6 as I'm close to pulling the trigger with John simply because of his tech support.

Yes the Plx can be used with the SMT6. Remember, the PLX300 can switch from wide to narrow band on the same sensor. So the SMT6, will be able to receive the narrow band reading. I also think that John knows how to make the SMT6 understand the wide band, so it should not be a problem. This is obviously, for those who have paid for John's support(I'm guessing)

Yea well I didnt but did in a way. I bought a used kit that was split apart. Seemed like a great idea at the time, right now its a $1400 MAF/SMT6 paperweight. One day the planets will align and Ill get the turbo to complete it, maybe then John will take me under his wing and show me the light.

Thanks for the reply Stephen...I'll be sticking with the PLX from you and most likely the SMT6 fron Vitesse.

Could I figure it out on my own and acquire the necessary software...probably, but I like the reputation John has with Rennlist and I want to support his R&D.

For others who were considering the SMT6 I can still accomodate the group buy price if there are 5 or more. Otherwise Vitesse may consider to honour their January sale but you will have to contact John directly for that.

The PLX and LM-1 narrowband outputs are the same 0-1v, which means they're equally usable with SMT6.

Ok, I'm in again on the M300 only if it's true that i can connect it to the Guru's MAP box and datalog that way. i read this on another thread that's running.

If not i'll stay with the LM1.Sorry if i'm creating caos by going back and forth but there's much to learn, especially if you want to save money.
