M,
Yes he does have caller ID. He is choosing not to answer my calls because he knows I'm pissed. What a coward! I'm just trying to get what is mine.

When you talk to him next. PLEASE ask him to give me a call IMMEDIATELY. I will PM you all of my contact information

Guys,

I got a call back from the Bloomington police officer one of you guys talked to about the problem. Unfortunately, this particular officer is a uniformed officer and wouldn't have much power to do this sort of work, he is supposed to be out giving tickets and breaking up fights. He did say that he left a message for Wachholz and that Wachholz called him back and left a voice mail that he would be taking care of the problems, he was just slow in shipping.

So, let's see what happens. Next steps are everyone needs to put together a documentation package of what they bought, how much money they paid him, copies of the payment (both sides of check if that is how you did it), dates, etc. Then that gets sent to someone.

I doubt the Postal Inspectors will be much interested. Ditto on the FBI as I doubt enough money is involved. I know when I had an identity theft several years ago the Chicago office of the FBI said they wern't interested unless the $ amount was ~ $150,000 or more. That has probably gone up since 9-11 .

That leaves a detective at the Bloomington Police department, the beat cop gave me a detective to contact, or taking Wachholz to court which won't be cost effective for most.

Finally, I can't do much for you guys because I have no standing in your individual problems since it didn't happen to me, I don't have an attorney's license, etc. So no authority is going to talk to me too much. They need to hear from you.

The Detective's name at the Bloomington, MN police department to contact is Phil Degia at 952.563.4900.

For Postal Inspector or FBI, I think everyone needs to form a group and make a consolidated complaint to get their attention.

and looking at the ring gear it looks as if you have too much heel contact (too much backlash)

see:

http://www.fiat-spider.net/servicema...toothcheck.htm

yeah...it's a Fiat site...don't you wish Porsche gave you this much info?

of course the 6 speed is known to have these problems...probably a good thing you looked

Michael tried to sell me that 6 speed and he told me it had a freshly rebuilt Quaiffe in it.

Of course a guy using 'Trevor Player' in FL tried to sell me a low mileage LSD 968 trans for $3000. Fortunately I only sent a $500 deposit for his nose. But that guy will be doing time. He sold the same vapor ware engine to two different guys.

After all my bitching and complaining my handles showed up today and to be honest they are in very good condition. Included were the lock cyl and lighted crest key (and the light works, I though those were like unicorns!). I guess I am done with this ordeal and can put it behind me.

This is unbelievable. Got this email from Ian today:

Good afternoon.

The attached photo shows the manner in which the hatch was "crated"

The problem is the dimensional weight for this "package" is over 800 lbs and
the cost to ship is almost $600! I can build an alternative "crate" to ship
it, however that will take additional time and $$.

I checked around and the typical price for a 968 hatch w/o shipping is about
$1000 and the mirrors w/o shipping are around $300/pr. I had figured on
spending $100-$150 on the shipping for all the items. This means you
basically paid about $200 for the mirrors and $750 for the hatch. Very good
deals. That said, I can't afford to spend $600 on shipping and/or the $$ and
time to build another crate without additional input.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions as to a reasonable and fair solution to
this situation?

Feel free to call me to discuss....................

Michael

I would attach a pic of the crate..."job" he did, but my rennlist membership expired since I've been over here, need to renew it first.

Elon, I have a couple of friends that live in Minneapolis, I bet I could get one of them to run over there and pick it up so at least its no longer in his possession. From there, I have to believe we, as a group of rennlisters can figure out a way to get it shipped to you. I get up to Minneapolis occasionally on business, I could bring it back with me to Kansas City within a month or so. If nothing else, at least it would be cheaper to ship to you from KC instead of Minneapolis and I can crate it for you.

Let me know if you would be interested in this and I will call on my friends.

Regards,

Thats awesome of you, I really apppreciate the offer, but I took care of it last night after I got the email. My mechanic (Ian, from 944online.com) is going to use his trucking company with a 40% discount and have it trucked to his shop- he has really gone above and beyond to help me out on numerous occassions in the past year, so I highly recommend him for anyone in Florida looking for their 944 to get worked on
