Try calling Quest, his local telephone service provider. The first time I called I got a message that he was no longer in service or I had the wrong number. Called Quest to figure out exactly what that message ment and in 5 seconds had Michael on the other end of the phone. I don't know what is going on there, but it is strange.

 

(Mailed payment or USPS MO) + >$500 = felony mail fraud.

If you can get the postmaster general or attorney general interested in this person's history, it is likely that he will be running his mailorder business from the big house.

Better yet, tell him you're going to start a race with him. You'll start down the felony mail fraud route and will stop when either (a) the parts arrive or (b) he's in the pokey.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

 

He has a Brake Fluid business now which he said is just starting to take off, and making some money for him; I don't think he would like to risk that.
Maybe in the past he did not follow through very well, but he has different circumstances, and motivation now.

I am anxious as well, but Let's give him some more time.
Maybe we will get some of his Brake Fluid as a bonus??

i was considering purchasing the motor from his car, but got a bad feeling about it after his 6th or 7th pushy call in a very few days, that frankly smacked of desperation.

i wasnt paying much attention to specifics but he was in some kind of cash crunch, and was willing to drop his prices in order to get me to wire money to him before year end... i guess i made the right decision, but had i been less busy here at work, i might have gotten sucked in also.

at any rate i hope this phone number helps...he did seem like a decent guy in a tight spot, so hopefully he will get his **** together and take care of the people he owes parts.

He had won an auction on Ebay for a Bravada that he needed to do some travelling. This was a fast way for him to get the funds without taking out a loan, or out of something else.

Just spoke to Michael on the phone.

He mentioned he did ship some items out this past Tuesday.
He sold the engine also (it's going to Germany), and was picking up some pallets for the motor and my tranny.
He said he would send a tracking number to me tonight or tomorrow.....

Ahh, a cell phone number, super, that's just what I've been trying to track down. I'll see if I can get my folks to give him a call and see what the deal is on my parts.

Hello All,

Talked to Michael yesterday evening; he was on his way to drop off the tranny and engine. He gave me a Tracking number. I checked it this morning with BaxGlobal, and it Is in there. This is only the tranny, and I still need the axles, shifter and linkage, but that is supposed to ship FedEx Ground.

Other folks may have received confirmation as well?

He does have alot of other parts for sale also, if needed maybe get one of the local guys to pick it up for you.

I STILL have not heard from him, my mom has left two messages on his cell, and is not too thrilled with this guy. Last message she told him she said she was going to hire an attorney to take care of the situation, if he doesn't call back in 24 hours.
