Has anyone had business dealings with Konstantin Kotitsas from Germany? Is he a reputable/reliable person? Or, did I just send him a very nice belated X-Mas present?

Konstantin is a trustworthy person.
I have bought a part from him, and had zero disapointment.
BUT IT MUST BE KNOWN:
There have been HUGE problems with postal services in Europe over the new year period. A lot of parts I have bought or sent have taken twice to three times the usual time to arrive. And I do not mean one part, but 5 or 6 packages. The same thing happened exactly a year ago in Europe.
So trust him and have patience. I can't see him stealing people.

I am still waiting for (2) K-24 turbos and (1) 964 new engine block from him. They were paid for by wire transfer over (6) months ago. Many emails saying they will be sent via UPS, but no parts yet.
Konstantin, if you read this I am still waiting.

Konstantin is VERY trustworthy. I've done business with him before with great satisfaction. He is very accurate as to how he represents the merchandise he is selling, and he goes the extra step to make sure you are happy with the transaction.
If it makes you feel better, I know of someone who trusted Konstantin with a 6-figure amount (without knowing him) and Konstantin delivered...
You got nothing to worry about. However, Konstantin can get real busy every now and then.

I tried to do a deal with him once but it took forever, so I cancelled it. He seams to be trustworthy but I wouldn't deal with him again. I don't like to deal with people who are not as fast as hell after they have my money (same what I do on my side). Nobody delivers an engine block via UPS. It goes by ship and should take 2 to 3 months from Germany.

OK - maybe I spoke too soon! Although encouraging to hear a majority of positive responses. Its the negative responses that resemble my personal feelings at this point. He stated the item would be ready for shipment on Monday. I confirmed with him on Sunday night, and sent him money on Monday. Item has not been shipped to the best of my knowledge, and now communications seem to be degrading.
And now the rant !
I can certainly understand the fact people get busy, and that unexpected things come up. However, I can't excuse empty promises! If you know you can't deliver until later for whatever reason - say that!! But, by the same token, don't demand, or expect money until then. Nice guy, or not, its just bad business ethics. Those of us that conduct regular "honorable" transactions on the internet recognize that cyberspace is a great medium, but is also frought with treachery. It is therefore our individual and collective responsibility to exercise a higher standard when conducting these transactions, out of principle, but also to alleviate the concerns of the other party involved, and differentiate us from the ****heads out there. You know.... the Golden Rule, Karma, good JuJu, bad JuJu, all that stuff! Unless there is a great turnaround, and/or a good enough explanation for the breakdown (earthquake, tsunami, swarm of locusts, alien invasion, etc...) I'll probably never deal with him again, a la Prospeed.
aaahh, that was therapeutic!

Konstantin is involved with racing cup (911) cars & can lay his hands on a lot of factory race parts for things like 968 Turbo S
He goes on road trips, always makes sure he describes his parts accurately etc. He's a stand up guy.
