Default Intake options with standalone VEMS.

So my standalone should be coming from Europe within the next couple of weeks. Other than gutting my stock airbox and AFM, what are some options? Could I use a MAF pipe from Lindsey? Without the MAF of course??

Thats what ive done. Using MAF pipe from Vitesse racing without MAF sensor. Just placed the cone filter on the pipe. Remember to place the IAT sensor on the intercooler pipe going to throttle body.

By wrapping the pipe going into the intercooler you are probably retaining more heat inside. The pipe is going to be hotter in the inside coming out of the compressor than outside. Something to think about. I am putting temp bungs on mine.

That type of film reflects radiant heat from surrounding components.

I doubt it would go far in insulating the boost tube.

I can vouch for this. He does take a while but he makes incredible parts. Took a while for my exhaust system but we'll worth the wait.

just get one of those mushroom filters straight on the turbo inlet like the ricers do..

really just need a piece long enough to hook AOS/other line pre-turbo and then you could run even flexible ducting to the fender.
