Default 90 GT calipers.

Are there two diffrent mounting styles for the front calipers, why do I ask?, the ones I have mount from the side not through the top of the calipers. Really confused.

Should mount from the top with 60 mm long socket head cap screws. Got pics of what you have?

Could you be using the rear calipers in the front accidentally?

Or maybe 993TT rear calipers on the front by mistake?

Pictures would make it easier to see your predicament as all 928 4 piston fronts mount on the top.

Whatever you have it sure is not a S4/GT caliper.

Given your earlier posts, it would be helpful if you can specify what 928 model you are currently trying to work on [if it is other than a 90GT] and the Porsche part number that you are trying to fit if you have such.

Photo's always help.

Here are the calipers these are not s4 GT calipers. Advertising said they came off of a 90 928.

The units in the top of the picture appear to be rear calipers, not fronts. FWIW none of the calipers on my '90 S4 have cast-in ribs or lettering. They are all smooth on the outer face.

Four rear calipers 'refurbished' via silver spray paint.

Those calipers look sandblasted to some extent.
