Seller's going to have a tough time getting his ask on CL without any interior shots.

Default 1980 Auto w/Pasha, Renegade V8 conversion

I've listed my 80 Auto w/Pasha interior and Renegade LT4 conversion for sale in "The Marketplace" for $13,500 OBO. I haven't been on the Forum for several years, but definitely have used the vast resources available on the Forum. Three years ago I "blew" the engine on the '85S and had to rebuild it and had several issues that I resolved after researching the Forum. I had planned on building a separate garage for the cars, even had all the permits drawn, but at the last minute the HOA denied it because according to their interpretation "it was restricted by the covenant by-laws." My wife says I have to sell it because we have too many cars (recently bought a car for my daughter), and limited garage/driveway space.

This is a 1980 928 that I bought from Rob Bud 9 years ago, It has a blueprinted Corvette LT4 that started as a crate engine from Summit Racing with cold air intake, electric water pump, custom radiator w/temp. control modules, coated headers and exhaust, coupled to the 3 speed automatic transmission. Porsche 17" Turbo Twist wheels w/spacers, new Michelins Pilot Sport 3s, Porsche GTS brakes, SS brake lines, Eiback progressive springs, Bilstein shocks, 928 Specialist front./rear sway bars. 425 HP 475 ft/lbs torque at flywheel. Blue Pasha, beige leather and Alcatara interior, with rear seat delete, storage bins under rear deck, blue carpet and rear mat (all from Rob Bud Interiors). All new engine electrical components, starter, ignition switch, battery, alternator; recent tune up with new spark plug and 8.5 mm wires, coil, oil/air/fuel filters, engine/transmission oil and coolant changed, fuel pump, O2 sensor, MAF, gas tank screens/gasket. Custom AC hoses, new compressor, R134 conversion. Interior LEDs, H8 headlights. Milano red (Honda NSX color). Some corrosion starting to show lower door sills. Rob had replaced all door/window seals and front windshield. Car cover, extra engine computer, DataMaster program w/computer for tune included. Current programming professionally tuned.

Additional pictures are at the Marketplace listing.

First off great looking car Ed. I really like that interior. Sorry to read about you getting denied being able to build your garage. I know this is a bit off topic but my wife and I are currently looking to move and get into a new home, and your story hit a chord. A lot of the homes we are looking at end up being in an HOA and I am adamantly opposed to living in one for reasons just like you experienced.

Where is this car located Ed? I’m having trouble finding the marketplace listing. Is that new marketplace or old marketplace?

Nate, what's wrong with having to ask for permission to jump, when you can jump, how high you can jump and where on your property you may jump?

Thanks Nate, when we move from here its definitely not where a HOA makes those decisions.
Also I'm in Rome, Georgia, northwest of Atlanta

MY79, 40,xxx miles, sunroof delete, no rubbies, 3spd auto and appeared to be in great shape. Bid to $25k. Did not meet reserve.

I would never take a 928 to Mecum. The wrong venue to sell. If a top notch car, then Goodings, RM Sothebys, or Bohnam. Otherwise BaT. That's it.

Mecum Monterey would be the exception...still 25k for a 79 auto is respectable

Default '79 red auto on Mecum

Hopefully, this translates to BaT for my '79 petrol blue/cork with 108k miles (!) but service history since day 1 with total restoration (engine, paint, interior) with $50k in receipts......
Fingers-crossed...
