Nice to see you on the Forum again Doctor Ed.!
I was wondering where you had disappeared to.
Sorry to hear that you're selling the PorsChev.
We need to organize another local dinner sometime.
I really enjoyed that last one, so many years ago.
I remember having the privilege of sitting next to Wally.
And the extreme pleasure of picking his brain all night.
I wonder if Fusco's Italian Restaurant is still there...
Cheers buddy, and GLWTS.

'88 5 Speed w/LSD - street/track
I really hate to, but I'm under some pressure to sell it. I'm putting it out here before CL/eBay, etc. in hopes that it will stay "in the family".
Clean/clear title in my name.
Original engine/trans/drivetrain. Odo is inop and shows 135k, so it has more on the clock.
It looks great as a track/DE car and decent as a street driver. It’s relatively straight, and has been repainted.
I have it set up as a track/DE car, because that's what I got it for.
Modifications:
- Konis and Hypercoils
- 928 Specialists swaybars (f&r)
- 928 Motorsports upper & lower stabilizers
- Powdercoated Panamera S 10 spokes w/20mm spacers
- Toyo Proxes R888
- Cross drilled rotors with track pads
- Moderate lowering to maintain roadworthiness
- Mild track alignment
- Gutted cats, X pipe, RMB
- Intake refresh w/chip
- 928 Motorsports rear strut tow eyelets
- Full cage (bolted)
- Driver/Passenger Sparcos with 5 point harnesses
- Halon extinguisher
AC components and air pump removed/not included.
Most of the things needed to make it road worthy/street legal remain intact. It's currently street legal* as Maryland Historic.
It doesn’t burn/use oil beyond what would I would consider normal for street or track use (YMMV). Starts right up, and settles into a smooth idle. Doesn’t break up under hard acceleration with a smooth, steady power curve that should be expected for a mostly-stock engine. Handles great without issue and runs on the cool side on summer track days.
Sound is fantastic and it’s an absolute blast to drive.
It's far from perfect but has really good bones. It would be a project to bring it back to original not to mention a shame to undo what's been done and lose its DE/track capabilities.
$14k.
I'm happy to provide more details about it and I'll be getting some engine pics - hopefully this weekend. If you're interested in it, PM me.
JP
* I can vouch for street legal in MD where it qualifies as 'Historic'. Not sure about other states....
(some things in the pics have changed - for example the Cup replicas shown in the track pic were replaced with Panas. The GT muffler in one pic is now an RMB. The red door cards went with the interior and were replaced with black...)

Looking closely at the invoice:
1 $998 for a water pump in 2015? Porsche pump?
2. $245 for a timing belt?
3. (1) eccentric with (1) ball joints ?
lastly, $23k bill and didn’t replace those sagging hood pads with appropriate ones?
still, somewhat early ‘78 manual with pascha and decent interior with “working odometer” <42k miles, will fetch more than $35-40k if not higher. High level of confidence from seller to make it “no reserve”.
sucks to have this end after my auction!
