is it just me or does this seem to be a heck of a deal for a manual?

This one is only a couple miles from me. I'm not familiar with the car, or at least i don't recognize it as any of the Rocky Mountain Sharks' cars. Looks nice from pictures, with some interior cosmetics that can be addressed. I'd be happy to look at it for anyone who is interested, but am out of town until late this week.

I know it seems random to respond to a post from 2019, but I was doing a search for a Rennlist user who’s user name was JNASTY. This thread came up and after reading the comments about JNASTY/InDaHills, it confirmed my suspicion that this guy has been a serial scammer on BAT, PCarMarket and other sales platforms. JNASTY is Jonathan Anastas and he scammed me on a 928 he had listed on PCAR a few months ago. This time he was the seller of a nice ‘86 928S. Long story, short, I purchased the car for $16k and after a few cursory conversations, texts and emails, I wired him the money and arranged transport from LA to Louisville, KY. Three months, 4 carriers and 7 drivers later, he refused to relinquish the car that I paid him for. He eventually agreed to wire me a refund, but the funds never came. I had to reach out to PCAR and they applied enough pressure to force him to refund me. Shockingly, during that time, JNASTY sold (flipped) a 2022 Land Rover Defender for well over sticker price. PCAR was well aware of his attempts to scam me, and of his failure to deliver the vehicle while at the same time he was allowed to list the Defender. This guy is either a scam artist, a sociopath or a pretender. With me he came across as a big-shot that was too important or busy to bother with the car after I paid him. He has a Wikipedia page! Such a big shot. Total scumbag. Hope he gets banned from all the online car market places!

 

I sold a car to him on BAT a few years ago and my transaction went well. Sorry you had a different experience

 

Seems like JNASTY realizes that his car was sold for cheap and regrets having a low/no reserve.
This is why I don't look at PCAR anymore. Can't do/review previous comments, etc. No way to search for past histories on bidders/sellers.
