Here's an interesting fairly early Euro 78, Kermit color, going through RM Sotheby's: 1977 Porsche 928 | Monaco 2022 | RM Sotheby's (rmsothebys.com)

I’ve made a couple of observations over the past 6-8 months during which time I have faithfully followed the auction sites, internet sites, dealers’ sites, etc in search of a 928. What I’ve seen, though it’s probably not news to this seasoned group of 928 aficionados, is the same car changing hands numerous times. Maybe it first shows up on Craigslist, then the next guy has it on BAT or PCar, then a couple months later another dealer has it’s on Cars.com.
While I support anybodys right to make a buck on a flip, the hot market may not be as hot as it seems because it is driven by flippers looking to cash in on buyers who think they’d better jump in now, while there’s still time. What burns me up are the ads that you read where a seller whines about having to sell his beloved car like he’s parting with a kidney. Then, when you ask how long he’s cared for his precious ward, it turns out he bought it 4 months ago.
We’ve all seen euphoria pervade markets of all different types. Seems to me, that’s where we may be now.
