Race Car
No way do I believe that mileage Nate. That engine bay has many more miles on it. The car looks to have been painted (badly) at least once (note the rear bumper cover bead is painted red too). You can see the typical piece of wood in the rear to hold up the hatch. The interior has way more than 35K worth of *** sitting in it, and the 35K miles claimed in the text does not match up with the 56K showing on the odo. And by the way, I do not believe the 56K either - maybe 156K. Also, no air filter element in the box. What else is deferred or wrong with this one?
Having said that, $4K still might not be a bad price for it if it runs, but go in with eyes wide open.
Further Edit - lots funky going on in that engine bay too - look at the various lines, for instance at the oil filler can - not connected.

We mentioned this car 1-2 weeks ago. Spoke to the current owner: car was imported by military guy who painted it red (originally black) for "racing qualification", then the engine caught on fire "minor" and the hood was stuck closed.
The hood was cut half way up to open it and now it is welded back together. Engine bay looks ok. The guy has not started the car nor had it driven since he bought it after the engine fire 10-15 yrs ago.
Guy sounds honest. I feel that the car was worth maybe $1500-2,000 but never made an offer since I had other fries to catch at that time.
If brown-tan or brown black pascha is still available, I may had bought it.

I thought this one might have been discussed before. I would like an early model but it may be a bit more than I have time for right now, especially with the color change. Thanks for the info!
