I can totally confirm that, the 32v 5.0L has much more torque and will pull an '85 Twin Diz Euro, when my friend was shifting his '84 Euro, my '85 S3 was still running out the same gear (and that was just with an X) add Ken's chip setup and by by,

The '85 / '85 S3's were factory d-tuned, due to fear of owners using poor fuel resulting in knock, once the S4 came out with the Knock sensors the factory went more aggressive.
The 32v is a more complex head and flows better, also more of a Hemi than a 16v.

I dunno... The folks at BAT are not using their heads. Now there are again 2 very similar cars on the site at the same time. 2 Silver S4s:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...che-928-s4-28/

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...sche-928-s4-28

I would be disappointed as a seller and fankly I wouldn't list one of my cars there now. We've seen this too many times now!

Those cars are definitely going to be fighting for the same bidding attention.
They are VERY similar.

Funny you should mention
Driving now.....
:-) JK
Car has been repainted/resprayed, no service records whatsoever.
Auction sale back in 3/2018.
Engine temp gets "warm" after a short drive per seller (dealer), so maybe gasket/water pump problem per dealer.
Maybe worth 1/4-1/3 of asking, not $25k

Another one up on BaT - an 85 remarkably similar to my 85 that I sold last fall. Linky: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19..._notification.

This one has some deferred maintenance though, and a few bonehead misses that will hurt the get price on it. I am always surprised that the free, cheap and easy things aren't automatically taken car of before a listing - vacuum the interior, remove rotted hood pad, get $7 jump post cover, and replace missing air box strap. These things demonstrate a lack of knowledge about the car or a lack of concern.

This is the same Silver OB that the scammer has been trying to sell on ebay and various outlets. This ad was his latest attempt.

I dunno Ed, I've seen bigger neglect than this. Looks like he cleaned the engine bay at least. I agree with the hood pad, drip shield and strap. But hey, great color combo, decent interior shape, original radio and no rubbies. I like this one.

DeWolf, did you use both of the chips? Did you do anything else (exhaust, etc.)?

I am looking forward to doing this.
Hi Bill,
Yep...both chips and both plugs connected. I've also had a new MAF and Ford injectors fitted, the plugs Ken recommends and no exhaust mods apart from gutting the original pumpkin. I also timed it using Ken's tools and the timing is spot on. First gear just spins the wheels. Second will also break traction but once it hooks up....holy snappin' ducksh$t it just pulls to redline so quickly and smoothly. It just never runs out of puff.

Cheers
Scott

Sort of on the subject of cars for sale: I've been eyeing cars since my Shark was wrecked, and I'm very intrigued by this '79 up in Boston: https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ct...675509019.html

Last night I was eyeing it and my daughter Trinity looked over my shoulder and goes: "Are you looking for another 928?"

Me: "Yes. If getting Stitch fixed is too expensive, I'll just get another."

Trin: "That's a nice blue."

Me: "It's a garbage, non-standard paint job that's already peeling badly on the roof. But can you tell why I am very interested in this car? What do you see? Or, rather, what do you not see?"

Trin, after looking for a moment: "No rub strips!"

Me: "Yes. What else is it missing?"

Trin: "No sunroof!"

Me: "Yup. No roof, no rubbies. Nice job!"

I'm so proud!

I'll be up in the area in a month for a wedding. I might swing by and take a look if it's still around. Original color is gold (which you can see peaking from under the paint on the roof). VIN 9289200710.

Friend of mine has a 2004 911 Carrera S 6 spd manual with the 3.6L engine. Neither of us can pull away from the other. Frustrates the heck out of my friend that he can't beat a 33 year old car!
