I know this car well, almost bought it 2-3 times over the years

My friend who did the upgrades took the brakes / suspension from a 1990 and installed it on this car. He was in-between 928's when this one came along (he has owned several) and his track car was apart. So he decided to run a few DE's with it and had a 1990 rolling chassis on the lift he wasn't doing anything with.

He still has that 1990 chassis in storage, it's close to perfect and we are now discussing putting it back together. He has enough spare parts to replace the suspension / brakes that went on this 84.

I don't think this has been discussed. It did not reach reserve, last bid $32K. Just posting it for the record.

Not sure if this 78 Euro with Pasha interior has been shared yet. Wonder why the seller doesn't provide the mileage or picture of speedo.
Nice looking car.

Man that is super nice. And priced fairly. Investment grade stuff there IMO.

^^^That is beautiful, except someone added "S" spoilers and chromed the phone dials. Body work will be needed to eliminate the holes from the spoilers

Just spoke with the owner out of Scottsdale. He Is the third owner and knew the original owner back Omaha Nebraska. The car was picked up in Germany and then brought into Nebraska and has stayed there until about a year ago.
The car has 78,000 kilometers and is all original inside and out except for passenger rear quarter respray due to a scratch. New owner has a pile of paper work on the maintenance and import.
I get the feeling after speaking to the owner he bought to flip.

Edit.........One more thing....wheels are powder coated and (2) small cracks in dash

The undercarriage and engine look like the car's never been moved. So clean.
Look, no wipers in the front.

Original owner now is probably 80-90 years old and probably has no idea what the car is worth today. Likely sold it for $10k. Beautiful and probably get close to asking!

Alex, Andrew, anyone?

Hmm, it also appears to have some sort of aftermarket sunroof. This is a car that may have stories.

its actually 178,000 km. And i thought it was the angle playing with my thought of a moonroof, but i guess Ed saw what i saw. So not worth asking. Still nice but value goes drastically down.

The new owner was a nice guy to speak with, but I learned way too much about him and his cars with out saying a word. I asked questions about the import tag and if he had registered the car in AZ.....I got a very long story and the answer is no import tag and no its not registered in AZ. He did say he had all the import paper work and would offer up his address in Nebraska for registering the car if need be. I can only speak of the two years and countless hours getting my Euro Registered in CA, so that could be an issue for some.

'78 Euro Green

Well, it kind of doesn't add up. That's what I surmised when just glancing over the add.

The add states all original, but the sunroof is not original. The suspension pictures also bore witness to a heck of a lot of work. Obviously, the car has been well cleaned up. I also see stories there somewhere. No mileage indication also looked strange.

Green and interior perfectly interesting and all, but I think I would not be in for 38.000!
