Looked like the real deal. The guy took a deposit from the first prospect.

That is a good looking 79, I like the color. Second set of rims would be nice.
And in typical previous owner fashion, removed the jump post cover and stored it away for future use.

I'm not one to often comment, particularly negatively, on cars for sale, but considering the positive comments on this car.... IMHO, this one just doesn't look so great for only 40k miles. Some parts look like a low miler, others not so much, particularly under the hood (if you're gonna paint the intake, why not the cam covers?). Then there's the easy stuff, like the missing 14 pin connector/jump post cover, upside down air filter and missing plastic cover/perlon carpet that covers the relays/connectors and holds the lug wrench in the spare tire compartment.

While I applaud the recent maintenance, I guess it comes down to the presentation. Lot's of easy stuff could have been done to make this one look like it has only 40k miles.

Something's not right with the tach as well in the video. At 4000 rpm in 4th, he'd be doing about a buck-twenty.

Oh, and I think I'd make that Jiffy Lube receipt not quite so visible.

Just sayin'.

I was wondering about the tach also. Saw it hit 7k rpm and didn't sound like it was working.

Looks like the intake was painted in-place. It certainly wasn’t disassembled for painting: the plenum side-plate bolts are supposed to be black...

Nice GT, not knocking, but he has 245/50/16 on the rears, should be 245/45/16. Not big deal as only couple sources for the 245/45/16, but if you are trying to get big bucks, should address the details. Yes, tach is an issue. Also idles at ~1100m, but that could be same tach issue as when he is driving.

All in all, hope it goes for big bucks, (mine has 44k miles).

The 928s keep rolling out over at BaT. Next Up: '81 Euro 5-speed, no rubbies, no mail slot, weinrot over grey berber cloth seats.

Why do people continue to put those exhaust exits like that. It looks absolutely sh$t. That's not how they left the factory.
