Let us know how it goes and if you're passing. Left a message on the guy's phone and he didn't return call. Must be inudated with messages.

Yep, same as every other, "I'll restore it one day", crowd

Passing on this. Too much of a project for what I am looking for. Story: Second owner had it 10 yrs. Purchased from the original RI surgeon after it was sitting a number of years. This is the 2nd owners DD and it just wasn't in sale appearance. I saw it at night, so it was difficult. Pod looked good, but the dash has shrinkage issues. Exterior was dirty but you could tell of the road rash. The rear PU looked buckled a bit on the passenger side, but again the car is black and it was at night. The red interior is all there. drivers seat bolster torn. carpets were push around and not flat. I am sure there are some records. 126K I believe was on the odo. The original engine suffered from a timing belt jump. Replacement was reportedly a 60K 928 Intl about 4K or so ago. PM if you have any questions.

Is it in a car dealer lot, did you get the vin, any pics of under the hood and does it run?

Thanks for the info and pics you posted, looks to be a full restore would be needed, 10 to 15k would be my best guess.

Thanks again,
Dave K

Holy cow! Both in top condition. OB and an euro! Love the metallic black color.

^ looks like they are both Euro's. Hard to tell because the pics are so small. Are you able to see larger pics on your screen?

The OBs got euro front fenders but US rear bumper and quarters. 15" phone dials. Weird combo. Seats appear to be "cheap" 911 pleated seats, not sports seats with extended thigh support. The 928s is definitely all euro.

Nice!

Not sure if this has been posted. Very local to linderpat and I if anyone wants us to take a look. Even with the not so good pics, it looks promising.

“Just need minor work.”

Surprised it even runs given the amount of surgery that has occurred.

1986 No Reserve non-running 5-speed project on BaT.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986-porsche-928s-11/

BaT and selling dealer incorrectly advertising this as an 86.5. VIN is pre 1000.

Heads-up, that SoCal auction that had the early 928 listed did NOT sell them and they are still available. Here is the note I got back from the seller;

"It was not offered for auction but you can come view it tomorrow. Call me at 818 660 9167 if interested as I have 3 people who will come look and make best offer."
