One of those interesting listings for a "manual 928" i.e. doesn't call it a GT ... color scheme is interesting, looks like linen paint with some kind of linen/chestnut brown interior?

I can't figure out who got the best deal there, you or the buyer! Certainly that is an extraordinarily clean car! How the heck did that dash & rear inner panels stay so nice? The car must have been garaged & only driven at night.
Hi Nate,
Can you believe that dash and pod?? Every time I drove it, I would just stare at the dash and wonder ... how did it survive? I have an 83 car that was bought by a retired guy who only drove it to Monterey on weekends and it looks the same.
I think everyone was happy with the sale/purchase. I did put a fair bit of work into it addressing some of the remaining items the prior owners had not addressed ... the car should need very little over the coming years. The price was at the low end of what I expected, but I am thrilled it went to a young local guy who seems to love it. Although everyone is starting to look young... ha! The funnest part of this little hobby is getting to know the enthusiasts, especially first time 928 owners (unless they look at it as an alternative to a Honda).
So this post is more out of curiousity. I'm not an expert in any way, shape or form. Never mind that the seller is saying that this is a 1985 928 S4. Never mind that the interior is crap, there's damage to on the passenger fender, the lights don't retract all the way and it looks like the sun roof doesn't close (although the add says "everything else is perfect..." )
However, if this is truly an an'85, does the engine indicate that this a Euro model? If it is, then maybe the car is worth $3000?
