I know people who get a lot of pleasure owning the rarest and cleanest of whatever year / make / model they desire, with very few intentions of actually driving them.
If rarity is part of the equation, then sure, this car should be worth more than similar cars. I get that, but I don't get it.

Wilhoit has a 93 GTS 5 Speed with 37,000 miles listed for $136,500 so this price isn't unreasonable based on that data point (whether either datapoint is valid only time will tell). Especially for a 95 which many people consider the holy grail of 928s.

Wow - very nice car for the money. Have seen in person and your car is a deal...and you are also right, in that GTS sold for 'three years ago' money. Someone made out...

I have also seen this car and it is a great example of the year. For those of you that don't know Ed, he is the owner of Blumaxx, a '78 pasha that is one of the top one percent of 928s out there. So he knows how to sort out these cars. Give Ed a call if you are interested. He is a genuine good guy.

1979 euro listed on eBay by delusional seller:

If he gets anything CLOSE to that, I should be arrested for stealing mine!

Must be a flipper. I have seen this car either on Craigslist or on Copart. I think it sold for around 1200 with an extra phone dial in the trunk.

I am really interested in the 911

This one is GORGEOUS Ed.
Love the color combo.
Great price too.
I'm sooooo tempted, but really want a 5-spd
I probably should have bought Hoi's Weissach or Alex's car when I had the opportunity.

Thanks TJ. It was one of Dennis' cars - I bought it from him before he became a BaT Rock star!

Yeah I wondered about that. I got burned, kinda, when I put some miles on my S4 which was in very nice shape. Got it up over 150K miles, odometer broke so it got to be TMU and its name was mud. Now this GTS with good bones but needing $20,000 worth of work from Greg Brown has 99,000 miles already, talk about your borderline numbers. I mean, could I enjoy this car so much more than my S4 that was supposedly worth less than half the value but was in twice as good condition?

What makes you think there is $20,000 of work there? Not challenging you, just asking.

I would let my 93 white GTS go for that price. No deferred maintenance needed but does have more miles.
