Default 1980 Euro Wiring Issue Help

did a CE panel refresh (Actually a few weeks ago - just getting caught up now in posting Some issues that came up - I can't seem to find a wiring diagram anywhere for a 1980 Euro "s". So I was hoping the gurus might have an idea of what's going on. (The only electrical issue I have at the moment is no HVAC blower. - all other system appear to be in working order). Car also has factory alarm but not sure if it's working or disabled (no jumper at Z plug BTW).

Issue 1 - there is what appears to be a blue factory wire with a yellow/greenish stripe from CE that's taped off. Any idea what this wire is supposed to go to?

Issue 2: At the CE panel there is a Red wire/Yellow stripe that's spliced with a brown wire that goes through firewall and connect to a similar red/yellow strive wire just prior to entering the 14 pin connector. Not sure what that wire carries or why it was spliced in such a manner.

The wire under the electrical tape is bown, goes through firewall and to 14 pin

through firewall....

And to 14 pin - spliced back to the red/yellow striped wire!?@?

Issue #3: What is this 4 wire plug and then black connector supposed to attach to - it looks factory and has a length that looks like it could reach console - any ideas as to where it should attach? Look familiar to anyone - comes out of factory harness in passenger footwell.

white connector with four wires and black wire connector behind.

Any clues?

Weird. That set includes "Current Flow Diagrams" for pre-84 cars. Googling...

The beginning of the path to electron enlightenment starts with a download of Alan Moore's Electrics Primer:

http://www.928-electrics.com/wiring%...%20primers.htm

What the early car diagrams lack in clarity, they make up for in simplicity. And there is a 'legend' of sorts (including connector and ground locations, and wire colors) on page two of the pdf that GlenL linked to above.

I *think* that last picture is one of the connectors for the O2 sensor age identifer, held under a panel next to the PS seat.

Is that for Euro cars also? My other 1980 Euro has the EXACT SAME two plugs unhooked also - any other ideas on this one?
