After painting.

I like woodworking and wanted the garage to reflect my tastes, plus I'm too cheap to buy proper cabinets, so we made our own.

Not sure we actually saved any money, and it certainly cost us some time, but we liked the results.

More help from the family artist. We printed a pattern on contact paper and she hand cut with an exact-o so we could acid etch the window.

All done.

That's really nice - congratulations. Love the red stripe along the center of the wall and the hand-built cabinets.

Cool! Looks like we are Skat Blast brothers. Hmmm that doesn't sound as cool after I read it.

We're Quincy brothers too. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Camp 928 Clubhouse is moving along. 28x40, scissor trusses (13.5' inside at peak, 10' walls), expensive doors with side-mounted openers. Latest code means it can be heated with a candle. Must get closed in and roofed before snow. But how to decorate?

Garage ****?

Three garages at home and a big mechanical garage...

The big garage at home is for a 42 ft Tiara in the winter and the cars in the summer. Nice party/music room attached!

The Cayenne's each have their own garage.

A mechanical garage and storage area for the winter...

These are mostly old photos and I really need to work on the mechanical garage because it doesn't even have a beer fridge!

Building a house takes a very long time and I seem to be really bad at estimating completion time LOL. My last post over a year ago estimated a Jan completion date..not even close .

We are almost done (minus the landscaping), but the garage is shaping up nicely.

The house nearing completion:

Garage ended up being right around 1200 sqft. Third bay is vaulted for a 4-post lift, 220 for electric car, lift, compressor and we pre-wired for solar (28 panels on the garage roof):

Had to have the garage door guys come back a second time to move the tracks closer to the ceiling so I could use all that space in the 3rd (16 foot peak) and 4th bays (11ft):

Picked up 20 dual tube T8 direct wire (LED) to get some light in there . Those hopefully go in this week:

By chance is that a Tiara tucked away in there?

Never mind, I should have read the entire post where you mentioned the Tiara. What year? I have a '02 41 Open that I keep in Charlevoix.

Here's mine. Only 650 sq. ft. because of the strange configuration of our lot and the location of our street access. Still had to get a zoning variance.

E-man,

Yes, our 2012 Tiara Sovran lives in Harbor Springs at Walstrom's in the summer. It is for sale at the moment as I'm particular to mahogany after the three Tiaras (think Van Dam). We should get together sometime!

Ran out of room so I'm not buying anything more at the moment. As soon as I get a lift or two installed that should free up some space for more!

Default Got some lights up...

Electricians got about 1/2 of the LED shop lights up. Pulled up to this tonight. It's like sunlight inside the garage .

Still messy inside, but sure is nice and bright.
