She says no more, but...I am always keeping my eyes and ears open for the next poor basket case in need of a loving home! Just hope I get #30 or the euro closer to bonifide before the next one finds me!
The euro was an unapproved purchase. Hid it under the deck...took her 3 weeks to see it...don’t think I’ll get away with that again!

I watched that last night while driving home. Nerve wracking. I started to call you. The only thing I could think of was using water to dilute the fuel on the block.?.?.?
Not sure if that would risk any warp age on the manifolds or not but cooling and diluting was my first instinct. What did you do?

I started to push it out of the garage into the driveway, but my buddy pulled up at that moment and blocked me. We just held fire extinguishers and watched until the pressure bled off and the fuel stopped. It was hitting the blue vacuum line and running into the valley....disaster avoided. Now I have to tape the hole up to get it into my shop. Hope it holds long enough to do that.

Got the fuel rails off, what a mess, not only did the PO use the wrong hose and clamps, everything was sealed with RTV (actually looked more like caulking)...I could write a Farmers Insurance commercial off of this car!
Wrong hose and wrong clamps
Rotted o-ring, a bit of RTV
Rotted o-ring
Source of leak
Going to replace this hose because it is not FI rated, and wrong clamps
Busted pintle

Ron you know you shoulda checked that stuff early on!
Glad all is unscathed!
Lengths of the right stuff can be bought online.
Carl has a cohine hose that works, got some last year.

Oh no!!! Glad that a fire was averted!!
Roger has the correct hoses - both those for the injectors, and for the regulators. And all the o-rings. I recently replaced all the above on mine.
While you have those injectors out, have them cleaned and flow tested, and repaint them!!
Good luck,
Rick

Chris, you are exactly right. If you look at the first page of this thread, you can actually see me videoing the fuel injection hoses and pointing out that they need to be replaced....here we are, years later....
I have the kit from roger, been working on it all day, also getting another set from a friend already assembled, rails, injectors, etc, all complete. One will be spare...
Rick, I had thought about painting it all, but more of in a hurry to get her back together, as I need to use the lift for one of our other cars....not much down time in my shop for some reason....
