Thanks Brian, I’m good on injectors. I have (6) from the fire car (although 4 of them are a little crispy looking), and getting another full set from Peter Dejong. I’m good on injectors, methinks.

Hope you and yours are well.

So, since they have closed church due to the zombie apocalypse, I, being an early riser, came out to the shop to wrench some more..as I replace the drivers side fuel hose, I’m tightening the clamp and say to myself, “self- what is that hole?” Well it’s one of the legs of the spider....WTH did that bolt go? Why haven’t I noticed it before now?

I think that’s where the standoff for the air filter box goes.

Lots to update, after the fuel leak fiasco, she went up on the lift for a while to make room underneath while I worked on my euro. Just got around to working on my new to me seats....drivers side was missing a few parts and badly rusted frame. Controls had gotten soaked, and the rails had been cut for removal. Got some parts from Mark and some from Woody Woodside and began tearing into it

Had to re-string some of the lower support “Springs” with bailing wire, rust was so bad.

And...out with the old...the original 82 seats were so bad, the leather had torn and pieces came off. It was not the Grand Touring car it should have been, I had used (2) rolls of duct tape on these seats and then put a cheap vinyl seat cover....

So uncomfortable...my body aches and it felt like I was sitting on the floorboards...

Got the new to me seats in...purchased from another Rennlister months ago!

took a while to make the time to tear into it...

but very happy with the finished product..

ran into a few problems besides the rust and electrical...installation was not a direct fit...the 87-up rails did not fit perfectly and I had to do some drilling to get them in , and the rail width is a little different, causing some binding in fore and aft movement, but these seats have so much adjustment to them, once I got fore / aft where I wanted it, I was tickled to death! Like sitting in a different car! These seats are so comfortable , and look fantastic!

not using the memory, so (2) wire hook up and good to go!

Decided to throw on the spacers I got from eBay, to see how it looked....they are hub-centric on the car side, but not wheel centric, so I had to be very careful bolting the wheel on to ensure best centering...I don’t go much over 85, often anyway, so not too worried about vibration...we shall see...

pretty happy with the end result, but need to drive it still...probably won’t until the weekend, this darn rain doesn’t seem to want to let up this week.

Went on a quick 3 mile run now that the ground has dried up enough for me to get it out of the shop...got up to 75, no weird abnormal vibrations from the wheels that I could tell. Might leave these spacers on for the Helen trip...

After the Helen, GA trip in June, I turned focus to my 79 euro and let this car sit a little. Battery died, so after a few weeks, I charged her back up, started, and she ran like ****. Missing and sputtering, idle about 200 rpm, backfiring, and shuddering until over 2500 rpm. WTF....she did sleep outside those 3 weeks, and she is not water tight....it was almost 100 for several days and rained every night....it was mega humid in the car, and the glass fogged up the minute the car started...I got her in gear and took her for a 20 minute run, with the AC on full blast. I guess maybe some moisture got into a relay or something, but the drive did the trick, and she is now purring like a kitten again. But the battery is not charging.

i pulled her into the shop to get ready for a little work. The alternator had some black “goop” running out of it, so I guess it has seen better days. I have a spare on the shelf.
