Thermostat inner seal
Just bought a seal-set for the watermanifoil from Rus. The 92810616300 is an inner seal for the manfoil, behind the thermostat, but I can not get the seal to fit. The ring is about 41mm in diameter, while the placment socket in the manifoil is about 38mm. The ring seems to be a combination of plastic and rubber.
Are there any trick to make this one fit, or are there actually different sizes of this ring on the market ?

I think that there is only one size for that seal.
I had the same problem when I changed mine before I noticed that... The old seal was still in place!
They can hide them self quite well there!
Are sure that the old one is removed?
Edit: Here's a thread on this:

I have grinded the inner circle of the seat to the metal.
I could use some more force, maybe with a hammer, but that is drastical step. Its about 2-3mm difference.
I have enclosed a picture. Is it possible that the metal I have grinded is actually the old seal ?

Careful work with a pick or screwdriver can bend that old metal seal remnant inwards, allowing it to be easily removed. But, BE CAREFUL...stuff a rag down into the passage that leads to the water pump. That seal will fly out like a spring and go down that hole. I was fortunately able to retrieve mine with an extendable magnet, but I'm pretty sure I lost a few years of my life due to stress.

^^^ Yup, a flathead screwdriver and a small hammer. Hammer the metal part if the old seal from the side, toward the centre of the seal. It should look like a bent bicycle rim and it will fall out.
