Default Steering shaft rubber fitting...does it exist?

Id like to replace the rubber fitting that is in the center of the steering shaft to the rack...but I dont see it as a separate part.

Thanks.

928 Intl or 928s R Us can supply a working replacement. AFAIK the part ins't available from Porsche separate from the steering shaft.

They are commonly used on some less exclusive German cars of the era. Match the size. Mark should have them.

I ordered one long ago, and kept it in the drivers door pocket..when I grabbed it, it was FAR too large in bolt pattern to fit.

Just dunno where I got it from..so..another on order.

The first time I clicked on SMTCapeCod's link in post #2 above, it worked. Then it didn't. Maybe this version of the link will survive. And maybe the pic will post.

Anyway, it seems like we're better off than when this part has been sought in the past.
