Default 87 928 s4 steering column coupler

hi
are steering shafts(columns) same for all models? how hard to replace steering shaft rubber coupler? please help

Are you talking about the coupler in the engine bay that connects the steering shaft to the universal joint?

Yup that's the one I was thinking about too. I've disconnected that when I was pulling the heads of a few years ago, but I can't remember how I did it. I'll take a look at it tonight when I get home and let you know how to remove it. I need to refresh my memory a bit.
