Steering Rag Joint Replacement
New rack in, boots were oil filled on the old one. Found the steering coupler on the intermediate shaft is torns to bits. Is there a replacement out there? Do I need to make my own? Any suggestiions?
Also had motor mounts and silicone pan gasket done at the same time.
Thanks again Roger!!!
Missed an F Body Road America Event where an 80 white Euro showed up. Almost 2 928's at the same track. We would have out numbered the Vipers.
Tim - June 6th at Autobahn CC first event of the year.

The universal-joint like thing that attaches to the rack?
I've replaced them on 2 928 cars and 2 944's. Major-league improvement, too.
Roger can get them in a couple days.

Not the u-joint
Not the u-joint. It's the rubber isolation coupler higher up the shaft.
It's not listed as a seperate part in the PET so I'm hoping someone already reinvented this wheel.

Get a good used shaft from 928 Intl. Good news is I think they are interchangeable over all model years. Then you could swap the coupler.
