Default Might be that time...

Hey y'all.
Havent been on the forum much in a long time. I met some of you down at the northern virginia gtc.
I am up in Maine right now and something might have finally pushed me to let go of my first love....my diamond blue metallic 87.
Think i just passed the 70 thousand mile mark and still love this beauty but my heart is being seduced by another...
I have falled in love with the spawn of 928- the panamera turbo. Now that specimens can be found at less 0.1% prices i am getting the bug and cant justify keeping both.
How is the market for these nowadays? Seemed like here might have been a little resurgence pop a few years ago but get the sense it is fading. Any thiughta on what models are fetching? Ebay checking wasnt the most helpful

Regrets will cost more than keeping both cars. Lizard is right. And you should know that...

As you said, "clone of the 928". There is only 1 clean sheet Porsche ever produced, and if you really think about it, there has not been a clean sheet designed car in any category in the past 50+ years.
Keep the 928, if it's well sorted, park her, drive the clone and drive the 928 when you want people to really notice what you are driving....

$1,000 to $25,000 -- realistically "it depends."

Heh...yeah. Who am I kidding. Its paid for (well, are they ever?). I just wonder a bit if the age /time factor will start to increase costs of ownership at a higher rate.
It DOES put a smile on my face every time some car pulls along side me and gives the thumbs up and not. Happens on a daily basis.
Damn you people!!!!
We will see.

It looks like a good example from your avatar. And low miles too. If everything works and you have good service records, with up to date maintanence, then it could easily be a $15k plus car.

I agree with Ed.

Also, just keep both and you'll have the perfect team... Anyway that would be the perfect team for me!

The Pan. Turbo is an awesome car...

No way a $15k car... Ever..

I doubt you will get over $ 5 k for it....

Gust cause your a nice guy I'll go against my better judgement and give you $4500.00. For it.
I can fly in tomorrow and Sri e it back so you can make a clean unemotional break from the soon to be money pit.

Where shall I book a flight to.....

well... i guess i can come up to $5200.00

Keith wont give it a proper home, after all, he wears a CARRERRA race suit (traitor), so i can come up with a few hundred extra to keep it at a good home....lol

seriously..
you have a ice car.. don't sell it (unless its to me for cheap....LOL)

honestly if you can afford a panamera turbo, you can afford to keep the 928..selling it wont make a huge difference, and you will at some point regret it.

Please allow me to rephrase. Others are chipping away at this. I think your question is: What is my car worth? With the information provided so far in 13 posts, we can't tell. Every time this is asked it is an opinion, usu given by people w/o skin in the game. The only way you will get a usable indication is to put it up FS and see what the response is. As Ed said, it looks nice. What is your time frame? Look at the car sites and ebay and see what comparable cars are listed at. The real indicator is what do they sell for and that info is hard to come by. I've asked people here who have sold a car and they don't respond. Good luck.
