It's a mechanics coverall, grease will cover any offensive logos eventually. (now that I think of it, that Mobil patch will have Rotela smudges by the end of it.) Plus I think the wife was reminding me that when the opportunity presents itself we might find space for a 3.2 or SC 911 some day. (though my income isn't rising as fast as their prices, so someday might not come)

Back on topic - the suggestion to "post it and see what the traffic bears" is a good one (to paraphrase.) If you want to let it go it won't be (totally) about the price you get. The 928 is still many years away from being a financial instrument. It's just a car (though a lovely one.)

From my perspective: I'm in a similar boat as you are - only that in my case it's not the Panamera but the Model S that I'm in love with.

The 928 still puts a big smile on my face when I enter the garage - it's just that beautiful. But I hardly every drive it these days. Life has changed, and I need a vehicle that is reliable, comfortable, and has some of the modern conveniences that the 928 doesn't offer. Besides, my available spare time has changed, and my interests have shifted into a different direction.

One reason to hold on to it because I've been through two cycles of sellers remorse. Another is that everything works - how many 928s can you find where this is the case? Lastly, it has a color combo I always wanted, with full leather interior (except dash and console) - hard to find. It has a few battle scars, but overall it's still in amazing condition for its age. If I'd have sellers remorse, I could not replace it easily.

And I certainly could never replace the memories that are connected with it.

But if someone came with a nice wad of money, I would probably let it go.

Consider these things before you let go - coming back to another low mileage 928 could be an expensive exercise.

I had the opportunity to drive a Panamera Turbo at Porsche Sport Driving School - Barber Motorsports Park back in October...it is a sick, sick vehicle!

Hagerty says 928s have increased in value 40% over last two years...if you wanted to buy a fully sorted S4 today it could cost $20k plus for a nice 5-speed.

Depending on the height of your garage ceiling, just buy a lift and store the 928 above the Panamera. With an 11'6" ceiling height and the right lift, you'll have almost 6' of clearance under the lift deck. If the 928 leaks anything, purchase some drip trays for the lift to protect the car underneath. This way you can keep the 928 for the occasional drive and still get the newer Panamera as a new DD. I have my 928 Spyder parked under my RUF 997 R-Kompressor currently a 914, and a 2nd 997. Porsches come in through a one-way door at my garage Here's a shot of the 997s stacked up.

Definitely agree with everyone else. Post it up for sale at a price you'd be happy with and see how the market responds. But at same time if you ever wanted to go back, would be tough to find another one in similar condition/etc.

Dang that woulda been a good home for my Euro. All gone though. Just going through piles of old papers, emails with Lucky Eckmann, receipts for novelties like the Dave Schaeffer polished intake and the big bore throttle body. From more than a decade ago. Another offering left at the alter of public service. sigh.
