Heh, nicely done on the video!

Agreed that nothing particularly makes sense about this car, but then when did sense ever come into the equation where you're staring at Cobalt?

I remember talking to a guy years ago who bid $1,000,000 on every car he was interested in. Gave him first right of refusal on a bunch of cars that he never bought. Ebay suspended him a few times, and he'd just sign up with another name, and place bids again. Since motors has special rules, he didn't have to buy, just keep bidding. Maybe I'll do that on this car. "I bid one million!" Wonder if my bid would stay, and if it didn't, what reason for the seller to cancel.

Why would anyone bid a sky-high imaginary bid other than to be a douchebag and screw up the auction for everyone else, and the seller too? I don't understand.

The idea is to de-rail the auction so they can work a back deal with the seller.

This recently happened to a local friend of mine trying to sell a non-running air cooled 911 and a 1st generation BMW M3.

On the first day, the bidding shot up so high on both cars we knew they were BS. The seller started to reach out to every bidder to weed through them, and started to make a list of who made what offer behind the auction.
Each car was run through three times with winning bids, none of those six high bidders ever came through to finalize the transaction.
In the end, both cars were sold off eBay to people he made contact with throughout this ordeal.

If this seller really knew how the system worked, he would be contacting every bidder and working out side deals in-case the auction craps out.

This Video Is "Detroit Shark Tank" Approved, OMG we were busting watching this as we were packing in in for the day

We also agree w/ AO, a non running car pushing 200k (that's been hit and sitting for years?), is just that a hi mileage non running car that will need $$$ to put back on the road correctly.

Thanks davek9!, means alot to me as I was born in Detroit. Although my wifey understands my humor, she loved your pic more than my joke.

Although I have no dogshark in this fight, If I had a few extra fins to swim with, I'd be in the tank on this one.

I was in the tank and as of the latest, I've drowned - as it were. Being a bottom feeder I have to feed on the bottom for cars. We're getting to a point now where the price doesn't make sense for a bottom feeder.

I wouldn't say bottom feeder, 'round here we call'em sucker fish, they look like little catfish but their lips are always puckered up., ..beside the point, anyway, if I had the means, and a pic of the engine, I would be spawning.
