Something's not right about that VIN- if it's a US market car, it'd be WP0JA0922BS821260. If it's a Euro/Rest of World market car, it would be WP0ZZZ92ZBS841260, or WP0ZZZ92ZBS801260. And you're in New Zealand (?)
Are you getting that VIN off the plate by the hood latch or on the A-pillar by the left hand door?
Received a pic of the VIN:
Edit: Apologies - I was sure the image had uploaded before. Apparently not.

Thanks Rob. I'd got as far as an '81, and a friend suggested US market. It is claimed to be New Zealand new, but wasn't registered until June 1st 1983.
It'll not have escaped you that the car appears to be right hand drive - very not US market! Between that and the extensive body modification, disparity in build date and registration, Registration is continuous but it appears to have spent 8 years or so off the road, between 2008 and 2016.
it's a very odd case.
I've attached a pic of the steering wheel and instrument binnacle. Is it just me, or does it appear to not be fitting as well as it should?
Supposedly a prototype 0-series GTS as noted by option codes 734 and 735. A full leather car with the exception of the instrument pod housing and the seat centers. Seat inserts are plaid. I’ve seen this seat pattern design before on other 928’s. Hopefully this car is something special Rob. Thanks as always!
I don't know specifically what the I734 and I735 options represent, they're found on the first 11 ROW 93's (3 5-speeds and 8 automatics) and then the first four ROW '94s (1 5-speed and 3 autos). Perhaps they're just leftover blocks and transmissions stamped with prior year serial number designations (?)

I734 and I735 were used in preproduction car, like this one.
It's not a prototype but it was probably produced during the 1992 MY year period, even if it is a 1993 MY.
This sticker should be under the boot's carper but I'm glad it survived into the warranty booklet.
133-0001 indicates that this is the first 928 ordered of the 1993 MY.
100 103 is the dealer code and this is a factory car, certainly for the marketing department.
Do you find the original registration into the car's papers?
When was it first registered?
The Z-order 00641 can be deciphered by a Porsche center. It must be interesting.
