I haven't had much luck using any of the free VIN decoders on the web, and Porsche Australia have advised this isn't an Aus delivered car. Suncoast also came up blank aside from engine code, exterior paint and interior type. If someone knows how to get more info for VIN# WP0ZZZ92ZCS840410 that would be much appreciated.

Thanks Dave, you've made my week. The reputation Rennlist has as being a knowledgeable and helpful community is spot on. Time for me to become a member.

I made the switch to here, a long time ago, for the knowledge and camaraderie of Rennlist. I contribute as often as I can, but get much more back in absolutely invaluable information, and would regard many here as friends I could count on, even though its all online.

The price of membership is trivial compared to the benefits.

We'd love to see some pics and hear about your car. Start a new member introduction thread when you can, and you'll find a lot of valuable general information in the new visitor sticky thread.

Good to see another Aussie on board ... Welcome

M471 is confusing, it's listed in the various literature as rear S spoiler only, but also as the Competition group, which is variously described as having the forged manhole cover wheels, the S-spoilers, Bilsteins, and sport seats. But I'm not sure which applies to this car.

WP0JA0925BS820541

1981
C02
000000 - no engine code but it should be an M28/15, serial # range 811 0001 >5000

G00000- Should be G28/.05, serial # range 11 10001>19999

I471- Integrated rear spoiler (Competition Group option or Sport group 1 )
M650- Sunroof

I am buying this car later this week, it has the manhole wheels, rear spoiler, sunroof, and not much else! Hoping it has a good motor and responds to a freshening up. Thanks
