Sorry if I'm being obtuse here, but what would something like this cost, all in?

Great work RKD. ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
I would be in for one. Anyone of the two.
I like it like it is, with the spoiler...![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Edit: The more I look at both, I think I prefer a litle bit more the one propose in thread #88.
The one with the "928" and silhouette together.

RKD- first bang pretty dang good- my personal pref: smaller car silhouette without the spoiler- more universal (my S3 wants to feel the love). And I think the silhouette itself could be a little teeny bit smaller, maybe 27 past the hour to 33. The latter isn't important, but the spoiler? leave it out and I am in...

I have several recent thoughts about this project. One is that I find that I really like the use of the 928 numerals tucked under the car outline (can't spell sil-o-wet), but I would like them tucked a little farther up and then have both of them slightly larger and placed a little farther up, closer to the center. Then I think we have not pursued the use of the Porsche logo/crest as well as we might.
Can you do a version of this dial with the car and numbers like I just suggested and then put the Porsche crest just below the 12 position and above the center?
Then, I have done a little cursory research on the trademark laws across the country and it appears to me that we may even be entitled to do a batch of watches for ourselves without violating the law. In particular, it occurs to me that I could very likely be entitled to make such a watch face for myself and not violate the law. Since I wont be selling it or them. Then I suspect that a couple of us or even a few, or even several of us could do the same. So long as we are not going into the business of selling them. That approach seems consistent with the trademark laws.
What I suggest therefore is that we form a group, or joint venture, of all of us who are interested in this watch project to the point of getting enough participation/membership for all of the fifty or so watches that might be involved and then write a letter to Porsche with the request, based on the first suggestion that we think we are not violating their rights, but that we nevertheless request their blessing for the use of the crest on this watch which we are intending solely to our personal and limited use and in celebration of our own interests in the wonderful car we know as the Porsche 928. Then if they say no we can still decide if we want to go forth, still as a closed sort of joint venture. Or then we can simply do a version without the crest or name, the way it seems to be going now.
I'll even volunteer to write the letter on my letterhead, if there is any interest. What do we have to loose? I think it might even be some sort of legal principle that "it never hurts to ask."
I like the watch with the day and date.
Hour marks only in the chapter ring (not meaning the ring outside the crystal, but the ring of hour and minute hash marks anywhere on the face). Leave the minute marks out.
I like the outline of the 928 without the wing.

I also don't care much for the ! on the watch. It makes it look too much like the other one we are all so proud of, and then, I just don't like it.

Jerry, good luck on Porsche letting you do anything. Just a few years ago they wanted the Porsche Club of America to take Porsche out of their name. The PCA does have the rights now to use the Porsche Crest and Text, but only if it is by itself with no other graphics near it, AND only for items for use by club members.
I left the spoiler on the car because the other watch does not have the spoiler.
I will keep going with the iterations.

RKD - I like 2 the best.
The (i)was used through out the years and is synonymous with the 928.
It would also look great with my company logo as a limited run for friends and family.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

I like "0" the best, with "1" a close second.
I would really like to see the Red "!" CWL rectangle, even though it is the same as the earlier watch.
And my understanding of trademark laws is that for the maker to make and sell to us an unauthorized copy of the crest or the word "Porsche" would put the maker at risk. We could make it ourselves and be ok, but we couldn't design it and have someone else that we pay make it for us.

I'm flexible about pretty much anything except the '!'; I love that! It not a copy from the previous watch: The '!' is a common theme on Rennforums. The Cayenne forum t-shirt also featured it:
