We have had a few questions re. flying to the event. Calgary has an international airport with car rentals etc for the duration and beyond our gathering. If this is a choice for you I'd suggest booking the trip asap as the city and surrounding area becomes quite busy in the height of our very short summer.
Google maps/GPS easily locate the hotel and we'll post directions from Calgary to Kananaskis closer to the timeframe.
The website is very close to being complete then you can register your attendance as well chose from a few options being organised for the Sat.
For vendors wishing to display their products please PM directly to discuss......we have a few options.
Just 5.5 months to go

I'm planning on it. Not ready yet. Need: timing belt job, fix leaky tranny, new front tires, new fuel pump (making deathbed moans). Oh, yeah - new passport.

Right now we are planning to leave early Wed. morning, July 23rd. Taking the scenic route up through the Rockies with the straight thru route on the way back to Texas.

Malcolm,
Can't wait considering it will be two or three degrees north of Hell in temperature for Texas when this trip comes about. I'm really looking forward to it.
Do you have a route in mind yet for a ride on Saturday/Sunday of the convention?

Just a comment for those concerned about crossing the border. It's the same as any other border, you can't import stuff. You can bring anything personal that is returning with you including your car. The only exception is guns, sorry guy you have to leave them at home..
The car is not on the question list unless its on a trailer, then they will likely ask if you are leaving it behind but honestly the border people don't care about that only the duty if you have purchased it. The emmision and safety standards kick in when you try and register it. American customs has more of an issue with you exporting a car than Canada does importing. All this has nothing to do with pleasure travel so no worries.Just thought I woul clarify for anyone who was concerned. I am a police officer in Toronto so anyone has question like that just ask. I wll likely not make this trip but I would love to do this trip one year....
