Gentlemen- I sold my 928 and Bought a Trans Am - dont laugh
I had a 1991 s4 and now bought an 2002 trans am Ws6 6 speed
AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously- please don't hate
But it is everything i wish the 928 was-
That ls1 motor rips - the transmission is perfectly second rate- but it gives you that rip roar confidence that if blows 1400 on craigslist and a half day and you and your wife can replace - kinda confidence.
I cant say how surprised and delighted i am and was on the first ride-
My car is a red t- topper ( which is great to have off )
60 miles
Car was never raced or beat on ( until last sat he-he) and is a great example.
yes the seats are that pleather but all power with air bolsters and back support - AC CRANKS!
FACTORY MONSOON STEREO CRANKS!
Brakes seemed seamless and right there
I will say - future plans might be to add Koni's as they say ( according to the trans am guru's - if they even have TA guru's) make all the difference-
I recommend it highly to go and test drive one - I cant say enough)
Ok- bring on the hellfire
With warmest regards,
Joe Cat

always loved the TA. I had a firebird when I was younger, and the 79 Trans m is a thing of beauty!

I'm not sure which is the bigger fashion crime, the flame job or driving around with only one T-top removed (isn't that illegal in some states?) but either way, lookin' good!
What's the factory rated HP?

I don't see much relevance to the 928 other than you used to have one, but still remembering driving the mighty 6.6 with a screaming eagle on the hood. A WS 6 is nothing to sneeze at as are most higher HP cars built in the past 10 years. Hope you enjoy the ride.

I think about any well cared for example sports car from that period would be fun to drive and own. It looks like a good one. I personally would not care to drive it around but that is what makes owning cars fun. Everyone has different tastes and style. Have fun and don't be a stranger around here just because you have a different car.

Whatever floats your boat. My sister had one and it was fast. I had a tough time trying to see through the windshield header and my neck could only take about an hour behind the wheel.
My favorites are the 1970-73 Trans Ams. Nice ones go for about 4-5 times what I paid for my 928.

Always a Poncho fan. But it will never, ever, handle like a 928 can, even with substantial modifications. Pretty raw power. Really very little in common with the 928 other than the number of cylinders and doors.
