Any tips for neutralizing the stink of PB Blaster anyone?

Its not in the car - but I can't get rid of it anyway - and its a part that needs to get installed eventually...

that smell nauseates me - especially when I use it for tight fastners under the car, and ten crawl under to work. It eventually dissapates.

I don't know what the part is, but usually heating/warming it will help evaporate the ingredients faster. Maybe put it in the sun.

Try some simple green, and rinse w/ water, that should work Alan.

Arrr well... done all those - simple green, citrus cleaner, lots of flushing (rinse wash repeat), sun dried, forced hot air dried, heated to >200 F (during other work). Better than it was - but still stinks. Forced air drying distributed the smell widely but didn't reduce it that much.

Its an enclosed chamber - so impossible to clean it mechanically - but still I can't believe how this is persisting...

I was hoping for a known neutralizer or magic catalyst... oh well... (wash rinse repeat)

Hmmmm. Lysol, or Febreeze? If that doesn't work, I would try straight lemon juice. I had some oil in a carpet one time that produced a smell that just wouldn't go away... Cut a lemon in two and scrubbed the carpet with it... Shazam!

Its a (used) air/oil separator so its totally enclosed and has dual internal/inverted baffle chambers. It had some dried up crud inside so I was cleaning it out (chemically). Wish I had used maybe acetone or similar now...

The PB Blaster did help to dislodge the dried up oil crud but oh the collateral damage... to my nose..

Charcoal absorbs odors. Maybe you can toss the offending part into a bag of grill charcoal?

What about Baking Soda? Can you get it in there for a while and vacuum it back out after a few hours?
