Default WTB - front control arms for 89 - new/rebuilt

I am looking for new/rebuilt upper and lower control arms for my 89.
If you have a set destined for a project that was never completed, good time to off load them.

Will also consider buying lower control bushings if someone has a set.

928 International has really beautiful rebuilt upper and lower control arms. They actually ship them back and forth to Europe to have them done properly.

Only buy new OEM Porsche units or rebuilt units through 928 international! All other ones are inferior. I should know..

The rebuilt ones are a nice piece and will last for 20 years like the old ones.

+1 on the rebuilts from 928 Intl. Did the passenger side a year or two back and just did the drivers side this past weekend. The quality of these units is so good they are almost too pretty to put in a wheel well.

Default Control arms

Yes ,928intl is the only way to go. I got the upper and lower rebuilt and they are like the factory ,smooth over bumps. While you are at it do the rear a arms, got mine powder coated with all new bushings. It makes a big difference, if you need an extra set rear a arms from a 1990 please let me know. I bought a used set and had them done with new bushings then have them installed when i was ready. It gives you time to be able to drive the car and when ready to install the rear you just take the old set off.

Yes, as long as you don't mind them being attached to a rebuilt front lower control arm.

Even if you could get the bushing separately, I'm not sure how one would replace that front bushing on the arm...

We sell the lower and upper control arms (from 928 Int.) better than new. Lowers are NLA from Porsche.

The front LCA bushings are vulcanized to the arm and the bracket. Failure modes includes fracturing the rubber section, which allows the arm to move too freely in the bracket. Mark's are 'rebuilt' to original new standard. You don't appreciate how worn the old ones are until you ride in a car with new ones. Night and day difference in ride quality.

There have been a few attempts to generate polyurethane bushings for retrofit, but none fit correctly or last very long. Some folks have machined the front end of the LCA to use a harder bushing. IIRC, Mike Simard uses this technique in his race suspension.

We have installed Delrin bushings in the non-machined lower control arms without any issues to date. Don't know what issues might arise on the street, but they are performing as hoped on track.

+928 on the 928 Int'l models. Totally worthwhile investment.
