I have a hard time finding the right thing to say when I lose someone I came to like and admire so much. It just hurts.

Greg, bye for now.

I hope sometime in the future Greg's family gets a chance to read all these comments. I think it would mean a lot to them to know that Greg affected so many people in so many great ways.

Wow – just back from vacation and read this. In this world of virtual reality, I feel actual sadness. When he's not too busy turning wrenches in heaven, I hope his spirit pops into my garage now and then and gives me a hand.

To his family who may read this, if you can measure the success of a man by what he leaves behind, know that the knowledge he left with this community will last a lifetime. There are some that when they post here, you can take their advice to the bank--Greg was one of those guys. My thoughts and prayers to you and yours—he will be greatly missed.

I'm gonna locate some Coors Banquet beers to drink in your name.

Default No Offense Intended

And, I don't want to seem morbid, but....
Has anyone heard what happened, or if there's anything the community here can do?

Knew him more from his posts here than anything else but he has been genuinely kind to myself and my kids at the last two SITMs. He was a big help my first year @ SITM and for that I'll be forever grateful!

God bless him and his family

Paul said there will likely be a memorial at his hanger on the 19th but no other traditional service. Hopefully he'll let us know more soon.

I don't know if the family needs help with even small details like a family placed obit notice. Those are the kind of things you never think about.

It still feels like this is unreal and we need some closure. I plan on going to whatever memorial takes place if anyone wants to ride together.

While I did not know Greg personally, I do know without any doubt that he was a great guy from his posts and willingness to assist in any way he could. Rennlist has lost a great asset. RIP Greg. My prayers and condolences go out to family and friends.

Does anyone know what happened yet?

If someone decides to setup a paypal donation account, count me in. But we'll need to reach out to the family first, what about uncle Mitch, can anyone get in touch with him?
