I'm not seeing what the advantage of a 4L80 would be. The 4 speed stock 928 trans seems plenty durable.

I was thinking that 2 more gears might help keep it in the power band more and be closer to more power on tap at any given speed.

That's what i was thinking also, but you would have different differentials to choose from. That's about all I can think of.

I've got a manual already, so the T56/T6060 as an option is AWESOME.

+1. If price is right for set of all needed custom parts there are several interested 928 owners in Finland alone. As long as body doesn't need to be modified.

Thumbs up

Looks great!
How possibly can a complete drive train from a C5 or C6 bolt up to a 928? In my dream, I would LOVE to have a C6 Z06 engine/TT/tranny setup in a 1986.5 928S. With this tranny kit and the Renegade Hybrid kit, it is one step closer to that dream. Custom/modified TT, anyone?

The Grenade Hybrids engine mount kit wouldn't work with the complete Vette drivetrain. Even the engine mounts have to be re-designed...properly of course

Steve, Dream no more. Will be installing one of Dinsdale's kits along with a C5 Z06 6 spd (manual) drivetrain and a new LS376/525 injected GM Perf motor in the "Just Peachy" project. T

Talked with my brother doug and we decided we want to do the first few 6 speed installs . We can also do an LS swap or a Toyota 1UZ v8 swap. We have adapters to go either way. LS or 1UZ to Porsche trans or vette trans. PM me if your interested

"Near luton airport"

Too bad. Another flash in the pan. England is a great place to develop stuff like this, but it needs to get off the island.

The 1UZ engine in stock form sees under powered for a 928 (260hp-280hp) for an engine swap. Do you offer increase hp/tq engines? What about the rest of the drive train?
