Piranha Brothers Garage calls Bullsh!t. My Brothers told me it would not fit, I said Bullsh!t. Here are some pics of an 82 928 with a 2002 Corvette 6 speed transmission. What do ya'll think? :burnout: Thanks Dinsdale

TexasDude74 10-05-2012 09:22 PM

That is awesome. Especially after so many people on here have said for years how it couldn't be done, wouldn't fit etc. What axles are those?

Speedtoys 10-05-2012 09:22 PM

Looks like the mounting HW could almost be a kit...

TexasDude74 10-05-2012 09:25 PM

Yeah, the carrier looks like three steel pieces that bolt in. Can't get much simpler than that.

TXBenchRacer 10-05-2012 09:47 PM

Hell ya! if you decide to sell a kit let me know.I just happen to have a spare 03 z06 rpm stage 4 trans with a quaife diff itching to go in a 928

No flies on you boy's. We might have a few left after our 11 stage testing process. We'll let ya know how she does ! Thanks Dinsdale

Ducman82 10-05-2012 10:12 PM

stock TT? i would SOOOO buy that kit....

IcemanG17 10-05-2012 10:19 PM

I see a custom rear cross member, custom 1/2 shafts & custom sway bar links......

Dinsdale Piranha 10-05-2012 10:23 PM

Vette TT, simple custom shifter [sweeeeet!!!!!], custom BH, stock clutch, custom discs. 3 piece crossmember aaaand axles. That's all

SMTCapeCod 10-05-2012 10:25 PM

C'mon, there's that place in NY or NJ that's had the kit for a decade now, right???

Besides, isn't this a Frenzy tech session topic?

Kidding...

ONce supercharged 928s were vaporware, once 6 speed 928s were unicorns...progress is good!

77tony 10-05-2012 10:38 PM

That took some doing. Great planning and execution. That 3 piece crossmember set-up looks very efficient and maybe even lost a few lbs? I can definetly see this kit going into "Just Peachy". T

I've already got one customer who wants that cross member and assembly. Who do I contact to make this happen? The trans is here, we just need to figure out how to mount it.
