Ok, I will be ordering mine this weekend also. Ken, I don't think I have the 4.0 chips. Any way you can confirm?

Thanks,

I did. Ken is kind enough to deliver it to Sharktoberfest and the car will stay in Southern California.

I plan to DE the car with PCA, and occasionally NASA.

Right on.......you gotta make the haul up to Thunderhill one of these weekends....Maybe we can beat our record of 4 race 928's on track at once!!

You should look into POC, Porsche Owners Club far more driving events than PCA and much better competition. Do you intend to register it in Ca ??and street drive.

Hey Brian, that would be fun. If you ever make it down this way, let me know!

James: I'm familiar. POC seems to be where all the super fast guys end up. I don't have a competition license yet, so I'm not concerned about competition just yet. Yes, the car will be registered and street driven in CA.

You are in the "golden age" of DE-racing......its fun, isn't silly expensive and not the pressure-cost of racing.....

The cost to operate a track car you drive to the track, have a blast, then go home is much lower than dedicated race cars...not just from the trailer-rig but the "arms race" of going faster that always comes with a towed car

The car will be PLENTY fast as is.....310+whp in a 2800lb-ish car is plenty to have fun....the only downside is a black 928 with no AC will get VERY hot going to summer events....

928's are plenty reliable on track....IF you have a proper oiling system.....OB pan is the bare minimum....OB pan + 3/8th spacer is better.....being close to Doc Brown is great too....my freshly rebuilt transmission is AMAZING...worth every penny!!!

I'm just thinking I add A/C even if its a trailer-ed car. Being cool make it enjoyable and not as much work.

You -can- fit 6 rims and tires into a 928 (sans interior).
The back just fits two 235 and two 255 (Cup II 17").

Drove the car today, and all I can say is WOW! Anybody with an S3 needs to buy Ken's chips!

Ken couldn't be a nicer guy and I can't wait to get the car on track November 4th! Video to follow.

You are one lucky guy. I've been looking at this car and biting my lip every time I see it.

Please keep us posted with vids and updates....

I put the v4.0 chips in my car just before my first DE a couple of weeks ago and all the instructor kept saying (in disbelief) was, 'This is one powerful car.' and, 'This car has got a LOT of power.'
