This is so tempting!

My plan has always been to have one of each but now is not the best time.

Will it make the drive to Minnesota?

Hello All.

As my log in name suggests I am searching for a 928. After spending a considerable amount of time on this site reading posts and looking at a few cars locally I am ready to pull the trigger.

A few questions if I may:

Has anyone seen this car in person or know the seller? I live in upstate NY and do not mind making the 700 mile trip if this would be a good first shark (FINALLY!!). I think the price seems fair and it is one of the MY I was looking for. It is just that I have to go so far. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Bob

928wannabe, I don't think I have met any of these guys personally, I do know that Landseer has looked at the car a year ago at the previous owners. If you look at the page earlier, he writes about the car and it is the same car. Maybe he will chime in and give you his impressions. I am not sure if he has heard it run or how closely he looked at the car. Is it a good first 928? I can't answer that. Do you do your own work? If you do this car is a steal. I have looked at tons of 928s over the years and they have ranged from neglected chunks to works of art. This car is not a bad car it, electrically it seems to be on the better side of cars that I have seen. It has some common issues that are known to 928s but as far as I have seen it does not have the catastrophic problems. I'm driving it to work today and will post some more photos this morning.

Here are some more photos. I am charging my gopro so I will have some high definition photos later.

Here is the only real bad spot in the seats.

I never mentioned the brakes but they re great. Great pad life left and drilled rotors on all four corners.
No bad dings or dents!

The car is missing the front spoiler as usual and the belly pan is off but that is due to me looking around. I have it

This is a killer deal. If it were closer, it would be in my driveway already...

Thought I would take it for a longer drive to day but the current tires on the car scare me. So I threw these on.
If someone buys this and is interested in 18" hollow turbo twists with excellent tires just add a grand and I will throw them on.

So then to answer one of the questions in my PM: You wouldn't feel comfortable driving it to MN on these current tires?
